I've never understood where one gets the opportunity to see those films nominated in the short films and documentary categories. Unless it's a famous one like Al Gore's pic or a film by Michael Moore, they are never shown anywhere. Even on cable. Frankly, those look more interesting than the movies ...

In addition to my big fat zero number of total lifetime dates, I also haven't had a conversation with another woman(who wasn't a professor or therapist) in perhaps 20 years. Isn't that f*****g great.

That article also says NASCAR races are also a good place to meet women? How is that possible? NASCAR races are full of rednecks and hillbillies. I've been to museums and no one goes there to pick up women. I would still think a nightclub or school or work or parties, etc, the usual places are the b...

I only started listening to his albums two days ago, and I like what I hear, especially Elvis Country and Elvis in Memphis. His first two albums , Elvis and Elvis Presley are hit and miss, mostly because the original releases didn't include the famous singles like Love Me Tender and Hound Dog, etc.,...

I'm surprised. Not that they are rioting but for their reason for rioting. A Danish woman had told me that there are a lot of hate crimes and bigotry against Middle-Eastern immigrants. When I read the topic to this thread, a pogrom was my first reaction,

Being single-minded or obsessive in one's work is not the same thing as being autistic. Neither is being weird.

I guess I have to bit the bullet and start jogging. I think I'll be able to only manage a half minute sprints , followed by 10 minute of walking to settle myself down. Repeat, rinse.

Worst was weekends when everyone in the dorms were going out and getting back late. Of course I was alone in my room with absolutely nothing to do. Sometimes I would spend hours just starting at the ceiling.

Also, my voice is mumbly, in addition to or in combination with being monotone. Is it a matter of opening your mouth more and over-enuncuating words? my mouth is small, so anatomy may play a role in my situation. In many ways, when I speak, I am performing a quasi-ventriloquist act. I soulnd like a ...

I recently had pretty good expereinces making professors and other students laugh. Only during the course of a class, when I would blurt out a humorous rejoinder. Otherwise, other students didn't want to do anything with me.One professor woudln't even say bye to me after I repeatedly f*****g told he...

I saw that film for the first time 2 weeks ago. It was great watching the down time, when the crew had absolutely nothing to do. In sci-fi films, everyone is always busy. In real life, even in scifi land, there must be a lot of down time. Pretty inciteful in a satirical way. The escaped beach ball w...

I can't say zero because I speak English fluently. Nevertheless, on a scale of 0-100, my social skills are probably a 5. No friends for almost 2 decades. I can't even connect with people online. None of my therapists can tolerate me. They've told me pretty much to f**k off. My first instinct was to ...
