My first born is mostly NT, and one of the joys i had with her, is that she just loved to be cuddled. My boy is aspy, and I very much looked forward to cuddling with him, but he hated it. As soon as he could sit up, he loved to sit and build things. Konnex, Legos, wooden blocks .... He liked to pla...

When my son was 3 or 4 months old, I decided to feed him on demand instead of on a schedule. He went all day without eating because he never cried. After that, I went back to a strict schedule, and he became a very fat baby. Shortly after he learned to crawl (8 to 9 months) he started arranging our ...

Thank you to everyone who has replied, and anyone who does later on. This has been helpful. I didn't take offense to anyone's replies...We should be understanding in here if nowhere else. I know I should just do my best for now and let the future unfold, but it is hard, as a mother, not to want some...

We were in a restaurant one time with my then 8 year old son. He needed to go to the bathroom, so I decided to be brave, and let him go to the men's room by himself. A long time later, I sent my 7 year old in to check on him. He had pooped in the urinal!! ! Don't worry, though, he cleaned it up. :oo...

I also gave birth witout pain killers. I was laughing and joking with the Dr. while she was telling me to push. She couldn't believe I was joking around while in the pushing phase. When I was in labor, I called the nurse in to check my progress because I knew it was time for me to start pushing. She...

My 9 year old son has Asperger's. I also have it. I am married, but I have had to struggle some because of my Asperger's. I am worried about my son though. I guess my questions are: Are you happy and fulfilled? Were you able to have meaningful relationships? Are women understanding when if comes you...

Hi. My name is Angela. I have a 9 year old son, Jarett, who has been diagnosed with Asperger's. I have not been diagnosed, but I believe that I also have Asperger's. We have 3 other children, Patrick, Zoe, and Jacob, who do not have Asperger's. Jarett is very interested in almost anything scientific...

I just wondered if anyone else has a child (or themselves) that has a high tolerance for pain? My 13 yo AS son rarely complains of not feeling well. He'll wait until the last 10 seconds before he pukes before he'll say anything. He's also been cronically constipated for a lot of his life (after toi...
