I'm trying to get published too, being someone who is afflicted with this condition. I find that people are hobbled by something can sometimes can freakishly GOOD in other ways. Anyway, check out what's going on up at:

Dear Eric, For a while, I thought it was a real story. But toward the end it got a little bit too "romantic" for it's own good. Would "Don" really be such a smooth jewel if he was an Aspie? I think it would be more interesting if this was a novella and Sandra was trying to cope with the disorder wit...

Your story is inventive, but entirely self-referential. I read it, and I'm not entirely sure "what's going on". It may make sense in your world, but it may not necessarily "click" to an outsider who's not aware of your quirks, mannerisms, habits, and ways of speech. The challenge of writing is commu...

Dear Brittany, I read your poem, and there's no subtlety to it. It's very heavy and brutal. Too heavy, too brutal. It weighs down on me like a ton of bricks, like I'm getting bluedgeoned with a hammer by "THE BRINGER OF DEATH". He does not carry a schythe over his shoulder, but a 40-pound sledge. I ...

Dear AnonymousAnonymous, There's way too much clinical detail crammed in there. I'm surprised the two main characters aren't twitching on the floor and carried out on stretchers, their case histories sound so wretched. If these characters are "different", "show" but don't "tell". Let the power of de...

Dear Aspie Community, I wrote this story about getting by and finding the courage to live called "The Confines of Heavy Metal Hedonism". "To be or not to be?", that is the question. . . . . . The link is up on my website at: http://www.dearwinona.com/heavy_metal_hedonism.html Yours in solidarity, Mi...

Dear Aspie Community, I wrote this story up on my website about finding the courage to live, despite the wretchedness of everything else related to being a "social misfit". "To be or not to be?" That is the question. . . . . . http://www.dearwinona.com/heavy_metal_hedonism.html Yours in solidarity, ...
