I've been an in-patient twice, both times for surgery. Yes, no eating before going in. After going in, groan. The first surgery was...um...non-trivial. I was kept at the hospital for about a week afterwards but they messed up my throat with the air hose! I could barely talk and I had trouble swallow...

I hope OP is OK! But, yeah, if I'm checking correctly his last post was July. I would miss his presence. At first his posts put me off, until I realized that rather than self- depreciating humor, he practiced self- appreciating humor...but it was humor. And, yeah, it's hard to tell OP's opinion some...

Yahoo! "Climate change made this summer's drought 20 times more likely, study finds"

It focuses on the northern hemisphere. I hope those of you in the southern hemisphere don't feel too left out...I'm sure there's plenty of bad news for you, too.

Welcome back! I always consider it a good sign when someone chooses to return to WP. I wish you good health and good results in school. And maybe you'll find some guinea pigs on WP? Though I would be useless on "how autistic people recognize each other vs. how non-autistic people think they rec...

Not an exceptional movie, but they did create a pretty good alien monster for that time. Also, the movie had a certain Lovecraftian element to it. I agree that the film is very unexceptional, even for a 50's science fiction film. And, I dunno about the monsters...I think they're sort of silly looki...

Last night my ADHD bride was out-and-about and I was feeling rather glum so I wanted to watch something that was the visual equivalent of "comfort food" for me ...so I watched: The Crawling Eye [1958] Original title: The Trollenberg Terror <=> "It's looking for you!" https://www....

Interesting. Can you tell me more about mmpi-2? Were the results discussed with you, was it explained how it related to your autism? The written assessment report I received had about a page commenting on the MMPI-2 results. Like I said it identified on co-morbid condition and otherwise I think it ...

Shadow of the Thin Man [1941]
<=>"The first Thin Man picture in 2 years - And it's a honey!"

Another good film in The Thin Man film series.

And also the same stuff that hurt last week and this week.

But mostly yesterday.

And I think yesterday will mess up more days this month.

My assessment included:
>- MMPI-2 (it found a co-morbid surprise)
>- SRS-2 (for both me and my bride)
>- SCQ (for my bride and a bit of it for my Dad)
>- ADOS-2 (of course)

I think the other tests provided additional confirmation of some ASD traits.

That's good to know. I was wondering what the Mods did with someone they banned.
