Welcome to WP! I hope you feel like it is the right place for you. I would've denied being Autistic until circumstances encouraged me to read about it...when I was 64. Before my 65 th birthday I had read up about Autism, concluded I probably was Autistic, and gotten a formal diagnosis which said I w... |

They have to assess you against the DSM criteria. It is kind of fun. And I got a written report comparing me to the DSM criteria.
(And Aspies can be funny!) |

Precisely, "intake assessment" for what? What were the credentials of "some woman"? How did she end up doing an "intake assessment" of you? Have you ever had a formal Adult Autism Assessment? (By a licensed Psychologist who works with Autism?) P.S. Not formal, not offic... |

Welcome to WP! I hope you like it here.
Suggestions? Well...um...I understand retirement homes often have...well...lots of STDs. Apparently it is frequent to get lucky and unlucky at the same time. |

Last night we watched:
Wild Wild West [1999] <=>"It doesn't get any wilder than this."
I like this movie...which puts me in a minority.
It is a steampunk western comedy, which apparently isn't for everyone. |

Calmos Darn. I've not been able to find a place that sells it on disk. We need something that plays region 2 DVDs. That is something the takes hold in my brain every few years. It's probably why every once in a while I buy a region 2 disc or disc set (Garth Marenghi's Darkplace for instance) Sigh. ... |

Welcome to WP! I hope it helps you. Advice? Two strategies that helped me are: - Give thought to which path forward to follow. - Whatever path you are on, keep going! I was often unhappy, or very unhappy, or miserable but I tried to choose the best path forward and keep going. It took a long time, b... |

I'm not too concerned with whether or not causes of one or two distant past mass extinctions might repeat. I'm more concerned that due to mankind's use of fossil fuels (and other assaults on the biosphere) we may cause a mass extinction that is not a replay of a past mass extinction. There are hints... |

I don't know if I have an "unexplained" medical issue, or an "unrelated" medical issue, but... Congenital Aortic Valve problem. Two of the three flaps were stuck together. It wasn't diagnosed until I was 56. Before that I was just less athletically able than the other boys; it mi... |
