Church was torture for me, one of many places I got dragged to as a child and young teen. I found it to be boring and pointless. My own view is, if the kid doesn't want to go don't force them to. I'm not a parent but if I were, I would never force stuff on my kids they didn't want like church, sport...

All ever wanted was to just be left alone and not leave the house. However, my parents forced me into stuff. I went to school which in JR High was like going to the torture chamber in a 3rd world country. I was forced to participate in sports, which again I dreaded, and the others despised me. I had...

This has been a lot to process. I had a feeling that Trump would be found guilty on a few of the counts but all 34 just floors me. What is maddening about the whole Trump thing for me is, he has gone throughout life getting whatever he wants by being a bully, a narcissist, and just plain being an aw...

Wow where do I start? Some I honestly don't even like discussing. I'm pressed for time now but I will delve in deeper later. For now, lets just say 7th grade still messes with my head 30 years later.

All mine faded away in my 30s, at 44 I've pretty much thrown in the towel. Looking back, I always had to put them before myself anyway. Now for the first time in my life, in the last couple of years I'm putting ME first at long last.

I've been here a little while and have not seen or experienced anything odd of the ordinary. Just follow the rules and your golden. Now, on a different message board (nothing to do with ASD), the owner of the board was a real as*hole and would defend this one troll all the time. Which is why I delet...

I scream, swear, kick along with punch things, at times say pretty horrible things, sometimes throw things, and I've broken stuff before. I have never hit anymore but what has stopped me is, getting hauled away to jail and sued, meaning I wanted to kick this co-worker's ass this one time. I'm surpri...

Oh, this is interesting. Welcome. I can maybe relate a tiny bit here, with being respected but not necessarily liked on a personal level. At my work, people I work with I don't think would dispute I am good worker, am organized, and knowledgeable. However, I know on a personal level a few don't like...

It sounds like it's time to let it go, obviously she has no interest in a friendship anymore. I would say give her a few months and see what happens. If you hear nothing, then you will know. I was dumped by an EX-friend of 17 years, about 10 years ago. On one hand it was relieved as I was fed up wit...

Not a lot of people know I'm gay or suspect it, as I live in a semi right wing area and I don't like sharing my personal life at work. Extended family does not know I am gay.

I have not noticed a lot of homophobia but transphobia is everyplace.

I tend not to discuss them, unless I know for sure it's ok or only places online. I just answered this in another thread but yeah after some negative blowback, it's best I find to keep a lid on it.
