I think the most important question is, do YOU believe your diagnosis? If so, embrace it, revel in it, use it to work out how to thrive in life and enjoy it.

I don't think he actually has a blooming clue about how he feels about it which is why he's trying to trivialise it. Hi Ellykeeling. Give him time to adjust, as I think you hit the nail on the head with your comment above. I also had family react badly and reject my diagnosis, mainly I think throug...

I bought an XBox Kinect last year and now play sports, dancing, tae chi or fitness games nearly every day. I'm fitter than I've ever been, I can do it at home, and invite friends around to play. You can even play Kinect online so might try that over the winter. I'm now a champion volleyball player a...

Reading up on etiquette and books like How to Win Friends and Influence People can help. Here's a mindmap of the key points: http://www.mindmeister.com/40950677/how-to-win-friends-influence-people I ask people questions as people love to talk about themselves, and it makes it easier to establish a p...

Make sure you've talked through the big issues and share the same/similar values on religion, politics, money, sex and kids. The rest you can compromise on ;)

I've heard in the news that nobody died from the earthquake, which is very interesting. They have strict building codes for earthquakes and thankfully it happened at 4.30am on a Saturday rather than a few hours later. They are still getting aftershocks and now there are gale force winds on the way....

I felt the earthquake in Wellington 200 miles away about 4.30 am this morning. There's lots of damage to central Christchurch and surroundings, but luckily not many people hurt. They are still getting lots of aftershocks which you can follow at http://twitter.com/nz_quake

I don't believe it for a second! Oxycontin is a pain pill. And it's damn near as addictive as heroin. Sure, stone all the kids and claim it "cures" them of meltdowns and makes them "focus". Don't touch it. It's not worth becoming addicted. Oxytocin and Oxycontin are two different things. The first ...

I have never wanted kids and already knew this by your age as there are too many people on this planet already. Thankfully I have a husband who feels the same way, and I have never once regretted my decision to stay child-free. This way *I* get to play each day, rather than watch some ungrateful sno...

I am thinking back to my teenaged years. My childhood was sorta like a dark tunnel that I slowly emerged from as I hit puberty. That's exactly how I feel looking back on my childhood. It was as if I was in a tunnel with no peripheral vision, and slowly my focus became wider as I got older and notic...

Sounds like when I worked at a bank. It was all NT girls obsessing about diets, holidays, weddings and babies (which you are supposed to coo over apparently). The best job I ever had before starting my own business was working in an internet cafe / ISP which was mainly full of geeky boys who I have ...
