Does it? It seems like what's expected of a responsible pet owner.

Well I can call myself that. But can I still call myself his friend?

On the subject of balls, tennis elbow sucks donkey ones. I don't even play tennis. Now I can barely lift a box of Rice Krispies (which is basically a box of air).

It's dumb and its a testament to how hard it is to get humans to change anything whether it benefits them or not. It should be consigned to the bin of history but as lostonearth35 observes, it persists apparently because we've done it forever and that's a good enough reason to keep doing it. It's on...

The first three quarters of it were pretty s**t. But it seems to have turned a corner lately. I recently got a new job that I actually like doing and we've had some good fortune that has eased financial hardship. Trying not to catastrophise about the USA's ongoing commitment to world-leading stupidi...

^I'm kind of ashamed that despite living in this country for 45 years, I know very little about anything outside the 'south'. My entire life has been lived along the south coast and it's pretty good, really. But I've never even visited most of the northern counties. I've no idea what it's like up th...

I've found people very attractive over quite long periods of time until the day I hear their voice and that, very suddenly, is the end of that.

My prediction - I'm not going to do state by state because I don't know enough - is that the race isn't nearly as close as the polls currently have it. I think Harris will win the popular vote by a considerable margin and just about squeak the electoral college.

I saw the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Wasn't terribly impressed to be honest. I can't imagine that story was begging to be told. It felt more like an IP development project to me.

Way to go Lost_dragon! Well done. The temporary nature of the job is fine. You sound like you're in the right mindset about it. It's a stepping stone to something better.

It's an attractive thought, but no, I don't think it happens. I've never quite understood the human race's determination to believe that there's some kind of perfect cosmic justice system out there that's running everything. Let's see: I think it's more fundamental than that even. I said before tha...
