Did any of the people in the writers' group have anything significant in common with you besides writing? Is one thing not enough? It's a start, surely? I would think it should be, but I'm not sure it always is. My spouse has friends from things they used to do but don't any longer, but it never wo...

No, no asthma.

Do you have any allergies?

If he's like the large number of psychiatrists I've worked with in group homes/etc, he only understands his own limited version of reality, and nothing further. He just has the power to tag and drug others for not living out his reality.

My experience is that the only one who really recognized what was going on for me was a clinical psychologist who specializes in autism in teens/adults. Others (psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, et al) didn't understand what was happening for me and what it meant for my life. So they just ma...

Similiar example: When I worked in group homes, the language we were supposed to use changed like every 6 months or so, and eventually came full circle to having to use what we had to use at first - but pretending that we hadn't. People who think "fixing" the language (what's most visible)...

I would be more surprised if you thought they were not corrupt. The incompetent and dishonest prefer jobs where the results are hard to measure or even expect. In school, they learn to cheat and help each other, and that continues right into their professional lives. The only helpful counsellor aro...

What do you think it is? If your question is serious, I think it's something that one accepts that flags oneself as in the non-Jesus or Jesus-rejecting group. It might be something physical, as in the little scripture boxes Jews wore on their forehead and hand (which is where the Mark of the Beast ...

I deleted my farcebook awhile back. First, it's very worst-of-NT-ish much of the time, in that even the people using it admit they can't be real on it, but just post for show and "likes". Second, I also got disgusted when I learned that the whole thing is set up to give you little dopamine...

It's an interesting observation that once you know you're capable of masking, doing less of it can lead to improvement in your relationships with others. A very useful thing with was giving up trying to look like a woman my age is supposed to look and adopting overtly nerdy style. It makes stranger...

In terms of "career", I "made something" of myself and hit my peak a few decades back. So I "climbed", hit the peak (meaning I was making big money and doing good work), and have since "sunk" (meaning, I made crap money and work crap jobs - when I can get them...

The Christian New Testament writes (as just one example): For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has m...

Worst nightmare: We continue on the path we're traveling. Both "sides" continue to insist they are the only one's using their brains, when in fact both are simply spouting their own version of the propaganda and neither would recognize real science if it landed on Pluto. All the real ills ...

I'm actually still a big techie person. I've run computer networks. I've built and repaired towers and laptops. I've been a hard core linux user (now moving on to BSD, it seems) since the 1990s. And more. But the creepy garbage so much of modern tech comes with these days makes me move away from a l...

When I write fiction, it tends to come across as "romance" with an "antihero" as the protagonist. Or so I've been told. Last fiction I wrote was described like that by my writing group, and I couldn't figure it out. I think they were presuming things I wasn't actually writing, be...

So a few years ago I went on a real health kick. Lost a bunch of weight, went from using a cane to walking unaided up monstrous hills. But then the holidays a few years ago happened, I went off my diet, my aches and pains came back, I lost my drive. I've read that getting your motivation the **secon...
