Bathroom: I have overactive bladder. A lot of my dreams are interrupted by me needing to find a bathroom because I literally need to go in reality. 99% of the dreams I can never find a bathroom. Sometimes I'm out in public and can't find a bathroom, or can only find the men's restroom, not the wome...

Flying: Nearly 100% of my flight dreams are lucid: I'm aware I'm dreaming. Most of my lucid dreams involve flight. Hmmm, wonder why that is. Could these flight experiences be actual out-of-body experiences? The bizarre thing is that often, while I'm in flight, the scenery is exceptionally vivid, and...

I turn 35 next september, Because I have autism can I only expect to live to 39 years old? You have way more control over your life expectancy than you think. Yes, the average for Level 3 is 39, and for Level 1 is 58. But that's because autistic people take worse care of their bodies, overall, when...

I would be interested in hearing an example of your experiences in this regard. When did you put an NT in his or her place with your swift problem solving capacity? My boss at the gym where I was a personal trainer, out of the blue, asked, "Why do you have a single long hair growing under your...

I've had this experience. Just like an NT could rub another NT the wrong way, an Autistic--without even trying--can unknowingly rub other Autistics the wrong way...and not have a clue why or how.

All dogs are descendants of wolves, but the "breeding" was done unknowingly by primitive peoples. Packs of wolves would follow nomadic tribes who hunted animals. Out of any pack of wolves there's always going to be a more social, less aggressive one that will catch the attention of these p...

That article leaves a lot of questions. Is a dog even a real animal or just a variety of different creatures created by breeding? How do you define a NT dog? What is the equivalent to people's small talk - wag the tail? Or special interests? This Chinese research project sounds like BS to me. For N...

I'd imagine that an autistic dog would behave much like a cat.

We autistics do it for the same reason that drama major in college do it. To rehearse lines. But in our case not in scripted plays but to redo past real conversations with people ...to figure out a better outcome. I'm probably the biggest re-doer out there; been doing it for many many years without...

I think autistics can excel in some areas and be clueless in other areas. So we can be geniuses and dum-dums at the same time, depending on which area of knowledge or ability someone who sees us is looking at. I graduated from an Ivy League university (not that that makes me a genius) but I can't d...

There are two more reasons auties talk to themselves that are not mentioned here. 1) Rehearse an anticipated conversation; rehearse the script or how they think the conversation will go, and 2) Echolalia. What bothers me is when NTs yap loudly into their wireless at the gym to show everyone how busy...

People fatally crushed by elevators. This got kicked off several years ago when a video went viral of a Chinese college student, caught on the video inside the elevator, who upon getting into the elevator, the floor started rising. As he was trying to get onto the floor, the guy behind him tried to ...

That’s quite a list Markitzero. I’m going to look up that brush. I noticed that both ladies said their hair and fingers. Do you think that’s because women tend to mask more than men, and so their fidgets blend as well? Actually, I do my hair stimming (sniffing it aggressively, vocal sounds while sn...
