I've always loved the promise of Fusion power. And it's close now. After reading some books by Kim Stanley Robinson, I came to the conclusion that we must build the technologies of the future now. So first, I started learning everything I could about computing, linux, networking, and now programming...

Someone else mentioned headphones and I second that idea. I put on some relaxing electronic music, something ambient, and proceed to accumulate the things on my list.

Does anyone think about the future of the world a lot, where our place is in it, and what we can do to keep most humans from destroying it? This is hope. It takes work, but we are uniquely suited to doing it.
