I love ice skating, and am taking lessons. At the moment I can do waltz jumps, and I'm working towards learning a salchow and a one footed spin. However, my coach is forever telling me that I am too hunched and need to relax. Where is this meetup thread of which you speak?

What I think is really weird is that piercing kittens would be illegal, but it's perfectly legal (and socially acceptable) to pierce babies' ears, and also do other body modifications such as circumcision without the child being old enough to consent. Seems silly they would give more rights to a ki...

Just a little saying I've heard: "Those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Yeah, so just wondering, how many of you can ice skate? I can't ice skate myself cause I keep on falling over, though I have been ice skating once before, and I actually found it really fun, and I would really like to learn to ice skate. I'm saying this cause I'm considering ice skating as one of th...

How is it that this planet is neatly placed the exact distance from the sun to maintain life without being too hot or cold for life? There are 7 other planets which are not the right distance from the Sun in our Solar System. In the Milky Way and other galaxies in the universe, there are millions i...

This does not prove God in any way. And this is one of the biggest loads of rubbish I have ever heard. If it was true, NASA would have publicised it. The fact that no one was talking about it is because it didn't happen! It was never mentioned on the news. For example (this is true), NASA are predic...

Whenever I try to open a page here, the page opens up immediately, but after the page has opened up, my CPU usage shoots up to 100% and stays there for several seconds and I am unable to do anything on my computer during this period. It's been happening for about 2 weeks now, and it is absolutely dr...

When you were talking about alexithymia, being unaware of your feelings, it seems many of us here have that to some extent, though for most Aspies it's mainly the fact that they struggle to express their emotions, instead of being oblivious to them. Well sometimes I find myself having to analyse my ...

I still do play it every now and then but I struggle to find time due to a massive workload from college.

I'm an atheist myself, but I don't have a problem with others being Christian etc. I mind my business, and they mind theirs. What I do have a problem is when some of them randomly come up to me and try to tell me that I'm wrong. I don't go up to them and tell them that they are wrong. Some people ra...

I never believed in Santa as my parents actually told me the truth. I found it quite amusing that some children in the same year group as me actually believed in Santa.

I daydream of my imaginary friends if that makes any sense. They are actually my acquaintances/friends in real life, but I am unable to form a proper real life friendship with them, so an imaginary friendship will suffice. I also daydream to plan ahead for fights with my family, so I know what to sa...
