I think that it is a preset condition and that environmental things trigger it at different stages of life for different people. My son who is 14 now was a developmentally normal baby and was in some ways advanced ( he walked at 8 1/2 mo. ) but he had a hole in his heart and at the age of 11 1/2 mo....

thank you for your reply and you are right i do some of that already but I could become more consistent and organized than I am.

Hi I am a mom to a HFA 14 year old son that I have been homeschooling for almost 2 years now. I am finding it harder and harder to help him understand that he needs to try to learn to do things so that if the time comes he can live on his own. He is very forgetful and has a real hard time staying on...
