The maid Amelia Bedelia from the children book series of the same name. She takes EVERYTHING literally, and she cause lots of problems for her employer's, but she is always redeemed by her exceptional baking skills. She's supposed to teach kids about idioms and figures of speech. Saying that sh has...

Martin Prince on The Simpsons. Ungodly obsessed with grades and extra credit, brilliant at every school subject, unpopular because he assumes that all the other kids appreciate these skills. An incredibly smart Aspie. Somehow Ned Flanders also pops up. Totally no feeling for social situation, secre...

How about Melvin in as good as it gets? The film is actually about OCD. He has really bad social skills and seems to take things quite litterally and believes everybodys a freak, He has anxiety attacks over change in routine (E.g. he sits at the same table every morning in a diner and gets upset wh...

You know what's awesome about this thread? No one has turned it into a "OMG DID HE HAVE ASPERGERS" thread.

Syd Barrett, Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Daniel Johnston all show/have shown signs of AS. I also think John Lydon, Sid Vicious, Jah Wobble and Shane MacGowan might be on the spectrum. Almost all of those people are drug addicts/alcoholics. That woud be a more likely explanation for erra...

Isn't it enough to enjoy a good book without having to presume how mere words on a page might "think"?

its not a movie but sheldon from the big bang theory , an example of one awesome aspie! People claim he was. The actor was more unsure. There is no settled proof. I think it's more of a throw up in the air thing. The creators of the show said he doesn't have Asperger's. Really now? Could you show m...
