I failed out of the same community college three times. Took a few years off, went back explained I had grown up and seen the error in my ways. They let me back in, of course its CC so they let just about anyone in. I had a 3.8+ for my last two semesters. Wrote a great application essay to the unive...

One thing I've realized is there are many different forms of intelligence. When you're in school, you tend to equate grades with intelligence. Outside of school, there are many other forms which are often more important. Concentrate on which forms you are lacking in, and work on those as well. I kno...

As far as the poking, it was obviously wrong of him to provoke you!! ! I too find it very hard to stop myself from obsessing when I'm embarrassed about something that I did. I wish there were magic words to tell you to make it go away. When something like this happens to me, I ask myself how am I go...

I seem to think, particularly after reading many posts on this site, that many people with AS are just closet narcissists. Someone tell me I'm wrong, because the more I read about NPD, the more it fits me ... and that's not a good thing! Keep in mind there are levels of NPD just as there are levels ...

The next time you overhear one of them complaining about their kids or "the wife" you should walk by comment on how relaxing and stress free your evenings are.

My point is that everyone knows that alcohol is dangerous but MANY millions THINK that marijuana is SAFE when it clearly is NOT ! ! You are quite correct! On the HORIZON topic: they have an agenda and will cite any "study" that supports their main objective. That does not make it a legitimate study...

Well other then say an increased risk of lung cancer I suppose. I dont think theres any conclusive proof of that yet, probably because THC seems to have an anti-tumor effect. Interestingly, the DEA were the first to discover that, ironically when they were trying to prove the exact opposite! They b...

Pick one, give it a try, if you don't like it, try another later. I know people who have made drastic career changes several times in their life. There is nothing wrong with that, people do it all the time, it doesn't make you a failure. When these type of people find a career they enjoy, they don't...

There have been studies claiming that watching too many shows like Oprah is bad for your mental and emotional well-being. I wonder if reading post after post on this site which repeat the same themes is equally as bad. When I first figured out this AS thing, this site was an awesome and invaluable s...

If you can't/won't be supportive of people who are having trouble in the workplace, what is the good of posting here and discouraging them even more? You'd be doing them and us and favour by taking your own advice and not making waves. I for one think it's a good thing that people offer opposing vi...

I've only listened to him here and there, but it's usually entertaining. The TV show was crap, what I remember is that the radio show is much better. I think if you're a guy, he's as/more entertaining as any other crap on the radio.
