I got a Game Pass sub to play Persona 3 Reloaded, then I realised that I don't really care for Persona so I've been replaying Lies of P instead. I've learned that the game is way better if you pick the rapier at the start. I also bought Go! Go! Nippon 2016 because it has support for simultaneous Eng...

ooh i see, I've never played trails but i am a big fan of other NIS titles like Crymachina and Poison Control. either way i'd hope the plot for them is good enough to be worth it. I also played Revengeance on Steam Deck! i was also looking at the mgs series but i'm not sure if stealth games are my ...

I didn't hate Berseria, but it's pretty much the definition of the stagnation of the Tales series, to me. It's a million times better than Arise though... Arise is possibly the least fun I've ever had finishing a video game Graces F is the best one. They need to make a PC port. I see. I heard a lot...

Anyone who plays on Steam tried any interesting demos in the Steam Next Fest? I just finished the Virtua Unlimited Project demo https://store.steampowered.com/app/1934030/Virtua_Unlimited_Project/ It's a Megaman Zero inspired game... and I mean, very heavily inspired. I wouldn't even be opposed to c...

I don't understand what's wrong with me. I have this extreme fear of being around another person. I've always been like this. I wanted to be with someone today – the only person I know (from the internet obvs) and the only person I care about – but I couldn't, and the way it makes me feel makes me w...

I've started replaying Lies of P. The rapier is absurdly good, I screwed up by picking the greatsword on my first playthrough... Also been playing Persona 3 Reload, and replaying Cyberpunk 2077. I did a second playthrough of Phantom Liberty, going for the Reed route; the game ending you unlock throu...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8fyxTuQVMU just watch this lol the "mash X" QTE prompt and the nurse crossing over cover like Gears of War both made me laugh out loud I actually would not be surprised if the Pyramid Head chase scene in the hospital basement is replaced with a Track &...

This is the thing, I had to take months-long breaks both between games, and halfway through each of the latter two games I played... I don't know if you've played any Trails but they're pretty much the worst JRPGs you can play for burnout, even by JRPG standards the plot is veeeery slow-moving. Rev...

For Christmas, I paid £100 towards my mum's new TV. They needed a new one because of their deteriorating eyesight, and I wanted to be nice, despite the amount clearly being excessive for what I could pay. After less than a month, my mum threw a coffee cup at it in a rage. She's an alcoholic and thre...

Agreed. I am tired of the culture war. 100% I'm sick of it both ways. The problem is that many people are prone to just amplify what their "side" is saying. It's some weird social heuristic that people have, and I kind of understand it – I'm not totally immune – but it's always being used...

I'm sure this game is fun for those who like this kind of thing, but I'm completely allergic to survival games.

It's incredible how heavily it's caught on, though. Is it because it's sort of like Fortnite + Pokemon? And I guess seeing Pokemon-like creatures with realistic guns is cool?

you do! I'd get sick of playing the same genre back-to-back-to-back; before Berseria I played Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance which was a comparatively bite-sized political action romp, and next on my list is probably the survival horror Signalis. This is the thing, I had to take months-long b...

I always thought I hated Nintendo games and that they were massively overrated based off trying some before (and the lifelong bias due to my first console being a Mega Drive!) but now I'm enjoying Super Mario Odyssey so... I guess now I'm going to make this my Nintendo year and finish as many of th...

I feel like the real problem with game journalists is that they're too political these days. A lot of game reviews these days quickly devolve into complaints about racism, sexism, and transphobia. Wired hosted a review of Hogwarts Legacy that focuses almost exclusively on Rowling's anti-trans views...
