Meltdowns are meltdowns for a reason. You basically tear yourself apart and rebuild. The tearing yourself apart bit is generally not good. It's a very effective way of getting all the stress out, but beyond that I don't see how it could be enjoyable. It can often hurt or worry those around you on to...

You think that's bad, try working overnight at McDonald's 401 West, busiest restaurant in Canada, during a double bus and concert rush. We went through a box of reg meat in about an hour. Worst part was, we were working faster than when we were fully staffed during the day, and I was working grills...

Before my severely clasic-autistic, non-verbal and near impossible to live with older brother moved out they happened every few weeks or so. I'd always curl up in the corner of my room, sort of implode, and spend the next hour or two calming down and building myself up back to normal. Since my broth...

I said my first words at 8 months. I skipped the one-word stage and went straight to saying "Where's Daddy?" one day, scaring Mum to death. I immediately started regular use of short sentences. I was speaking in longer scentences by 9 months, was learning to read by age 3 off Dad, but only really ma...

I always walk up steps on my toes, and toe-walk around the house when I'm happy or excited (Or just plain energetic) But I generally don't when I'm wearing shoes. Socks are ok though.

I've got to do this. I don't want to. I must do it. Stare at task - mind becomes a brick wall and refuses to comply. Deadline getting closer. Stress and anxiety getting worse. Repeat previous conflicting dialogue several times. ... then I feel drained, drowsy and often fall asleep. Ok, I can't TELL...

My Mum had a heart condition at the time of our birth too. So we had little contact with her for the first few weeks.

I'm 16, almost 17, but I've not got a learners permit, or even LOOKED at getting one. This is because: 1- It's totally unnecessary. Everywhere I want to go I can get there by walking or public transport. 2- There's simply not time. My parents are always struggling to be there for my family in the fi...

Repetitive touch. Like my cat kneading, rubbing against my leg, or licking while it's whiskers rub against me. It also happens when someone runs a brush or something through my hair. This sends me into a very deep trance. I stop focusing on everything but that touch, whatever it is. There are some t...

It depends. There are three things I look for in a friend. 1) Can trust each other, or learn to do so, and understand one another's point of view of the world and the things that go on around them. 2) The person doesn't have ideals that conflict TOO deeply with my own. 3) They let me be me. It's too...

Can you multi-task? No. Can you sort of multi-task? Nope. Yet for some reason I keep trying to. It always sends my brain into shut-down and I end up sitting there/walking around very confused and with a blank mind. Why do you think it is you can/can't/struggle? I can focus on one thing OR another. ...
