But does it really "solve" your problem, or is it just a temporary bandaid? Sure, hiring an escort will temporarily give you the outcome you want (immediate sex and avoiding pain), but that won't make you stronger in the long-run. You overcome social awkwardness by having lots of genuine ...

Buying sex is illegal in several countries. That's for a good reason. I think it's morally wrong. Morality is very relative. I strongly believe that laws should be based on not actively harming others. Keeping prostitution illegal harms others because it forces sex workers & people seeking sex ...

I'd say it's morally wrong to cultivate a relationship with another human being if all you really want from them is sex. Sex is a human need. So are close relationships. But they aren't the same thing. For those of us who are interested in the latter, the former can come too and that's great. But y...

Prostitution is the world's oldest profession.

Regardless of your personal stance on prostitution, does criminalizing it really do anything to stop prostitution?

Utilizing sex workers to have sex may be easier than making oneself attractive, meeting the right person, forming a trusting and respectful intimate relationship with that person, and sharing one's life with that person 24/7. But if all you want is sex, then why go to all that effort?  Because you'...

. I mean this earnestly and constructively. If you want a relationship, or even a sex partner, using escorts frequently isn't going to help you with that. A relationship isn't just about your needs. It's give and take - not just take. You need to be emotionally available. A good listener. Satisfy t...

Come to think of it, even though I'm still a tad socially awkward with escorts, I'm way less socially awkward with escorts than I am when pursuing a free partner. The fact there's no pressure to impress the escort (because I know I'm getting sex no matter what) helps me relax. How unfortunate though...

Prostitution & escorts are illegal in a vast majority of the US. Lots of Aspies don't want to risk problems with the law due to us being in trouble a lot as kids & us having poor social skills. What you're saying is 100% true (and I was afraid of stings when I first started using escorts). ...

I myself utilize sex workers. I would imagine it's pretty common for those of us on the spectrum to utilize sex workers. Here's why: On top of the obvious struggles those of us on the spectrum face (compared to the general population) when looking for a partner, we don't do well with uncertainty. Se...

As others said on this thread, society views the spectrum as being synonymous with mental retardation (even though there's a huge difference between being on the spectrum vs being mentally challenged). Wait! where did this come from?? Why bring in people who are intellectually impaired? low hanging...

It could be a way to eliminate a dud and minimize wasted time. I wouldn’t want to be with someone who would ditch me or discriminate against me for having autism, so I’d always be upfront about it. Sure, not everyone is knowledgeable about autism, but if they aren’t willing to learn, then I’m not w...

I think it's best to keep things under wraps for the first month or two. Than you can give your partner little hints and clues. Once that's achieved, you can refer some information that they can look up. Now that's a better approach than informing your partner on day one. On a different internet co...

I think people should respect privacy. If you don't want to share your diagnosis and it doesn't get in the way of a relationship why bring it up? Yeah. There are certain tidbits a partner should share. For example, if you have AIDS or herpes, you should really inform your partner, as those are life...
