I think what you are trying to do here is nice-- it seems that you are attempting to provide a resource by which aspie men can find ideas for starting a conversation with women. However, these sort of "what women want/do not want" top ten lists do women a disservice, as they perpetuate sterotypes as...

I would like to live in a renovated Gothic revival on the New England coast , with a big flower garden and a duck pond. I would like to have a huge glass reptile enclosure indoors and a lot of bright pythons and things, and piles and piles of books. Either that, or a nice little apartment in Berlin ...

I live in Massachusetts. The northeast is a beautiful area-- plenty of untouched forests, close to the ocean, and where I live it's only about a half hour drive to Boston, which is a very clean and vibrant city if that's your type of thing. I know nurses are always in demand, but if you have a profe...

I very much doubt it. Politics just doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would appeal to an Aspie. Besides, Asperger's is an aggregate of symptoms, not one just one or two-- not everyone with a quirk is an aspie.
Besides, I don't think a virulent stinker like McCain could be Aspie. |

Intelligence. That's key. I want someone with whom I can have a decent conversation. A sense of humor and quirkiness. Someone who is passionate and interested in something--I get so bored by people who don't do or know anything and who have no intellectual curiosity... and that's pretty much it. Not...

I wring my hands, sometimes very quickly. People either think it is a sign of nervousness or that I'm cold. I also rub my hands along my jawline.

I wouldn't worry about becoming vain. I think if you are concerned you that you may be vain then you're probably not. Generally, I think vanity is one of those slippery little beasties against which a healthy dose of self- awareness is good protection. Coordinate if you will. In fact, you are probab...

Hi, I'm new here... well, I've been sort of lurking around for a while, to be honest, without posting anything. Anyhow, I was curious- what is the landscape of your special little "inner world", like where you go when things get too insane outside? I know mine often involves blue rhododendrons and b...

Dear coworker- I'm sorry! It's just an expression! I didn't mean anything when I said you were the dark horse in the 5k cancer walk this weekend... a 'dark horse' is someone not expected to win an event, it wasn't a comment on the fact that you're half black. Don't be mad. I tend not to think that p...

I too learned to read very early, and I was writing long, complex stories with narrative arc and advanced vocabulary in the second grade. I also memorized the names of all the reptiles and amphibians in North America from a field guide at around the same age. I was never very good at music, though. ...

I think Tim Burton is kind of a cutie.
He was voted one of the year's unsexiest people a while ago... bah, what do they know?
Plus, you know, "talent is all that matters to a woman of taste" |

hi- first post! Personally I'm sort of clueless when it comes to music, but I am a shameless book snob. I openly sneer at the "Davinci Code" and feel a bit miffed if I see someone reading a favorite book of mine who I feel is "unworthy" of it. Terrible, I know. But there you have it. As for music, I...
