I remember a Chinese woman who was curious about Christianity started reading the Bible. She was surprised that it didn't really contain any advice on how to live, but was rather a history of the Jewish people. ACKSHUALLY-- The history ends up being pretty significant and relevant when it comes to ...

Yeahhh... I may be very religious, but I'm not conservative. I feel like the whole "everything I don't like is woke" scare shows incredible ignorance and miseducation. (Edit: also, I'm in favor of "woke" tbh.)

I homeschooled, too. I “graduated” high school with just a basic arithmetic knowledge of math. I bought some books before taking placement tests for college, including Algebra 1 and 2 for Dummies. I ended up doing quite well and even ended up tutoring math in college. It was hard getting to that po...

I guess my thing is, as a religious person, if I believe God exists and I follow an organized religion around it, and I believe that following this religion is critically important... yeah, duh, I'm going to teach my kids to follow my religion. But I'm also going to equip them to study and learn and...

My impression was that their parents often just handed them a book for a guided self study and didn't study the books themselves in order to try to answer questions intelligently. I really think it's gonna depend on what you use to teach math, and how. I had major major issues with math, but I also...

I do think there's poor religious education versus good religious education. If I had my druthers, religious education insofar as the goal is to teach children how to practice a religion, would dive into academic study and the why's of why said religion teaches what it does. Or at least equip kids w...

I'm Christian as f**k and Catholic as f**k, but I can't help but be amused by this. No, I am not in favor of censoring LGBTQ and queer books in schools. Bible is definitely more sexually explicit than are LGBTQ books for kids... I recall in "family altar" as a kid, accidentally reading the...

Perhaps. I feel like social stuff (criteria A) is such a broad category that doesn't at all exhaustively cover all the examples of social issues. I'll also highlight the stuff that I know applies to me. [CURRENT CRITERIA] 1. Deficits in social-emotional reciprocity, ranging, for example, from abnorm...

You could have him take some of the screening quizzes on a site called Embrace Autism, if he might be open to that. There's a number on there, including RAADS, CAT-Q, etc.

ADHD can get worse in times of stress. Of course, though, many things can mimic ADHD symptoms... including high stress.

I developed sooo many pet peeves working at a grocery store. One was customers being on the phone while I was ringing up their groceries.

Did you know that upwards of 50% of autistic people also have ADHD? It sounds like you could have this combination, sometimes referred to as "AuDHD". Of course, I realize you aren't yet certain of being autistic nor diagnosed as such. I too found school difficult, and I too have experience...

Definitely asexual here. A bit in the grey area, but I'm 100% certain of my identity.
