If I was you, I would confront the teacher and tell her that your having a little trouble without mentioning your aspergers, and maybe see if you can stay alittle bit later and get extra help. If you cant verbally express it to her, write her a note and slip it into her mailbox in the teachers loun... |

What I meant by "emotionally blind" is that you are unable to understand what other people are feeling. For instance, suppose you are talking about chemistry, a subject matter you are passionate about, to some of your friends. Suppose your friends are actually not interested in what you are saying,... |

I have this problem to a degree myself. Although I am a mother of 2 children.
It is an inability to start a new task.
Same music , with which I was productive once helps me a lot.
It looks like I simply record mys state. |

It is true for me. I can hardly do it now, but only with the highest concentration possible.
I think it is related to the fact that we go in depth, not in width.
I read same thing in the general Asperger's book as well. |

has anyone here had a home birth that would like to pass on any advice? After a very upsetting meeting with my consultant, who reassured me that the hospital would 'normalise' me, I want to pull out entirely of the hospital. I never wanted to go to hospital anyway, but was bullied by worried family... |

Would your daughter like to join WrongPlanet? She would have commonalities here with those in her age group and would likely find a true friend. Maybe you could tell her she's welcome. Note: I am an adult; I just happened to read your post and thought I'd offer a suggestion. Just an idea! Is there ... |

[quote="katrine"]Yeah, it hurts sometimes. Just like when my son says he loves his cat more than me - and I kind of believe him  I learned to let him give me hugs when HE wants to - or at least give him fair warning (I know you don't like it much, but I've just gotta give you a hug!) ... |
