Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: ICD-10 is still used to this day, even there is ICD-11

I'm surprised it's being used at all in the US, but given how bad the DSM 5 coverage of various disorders was, an ICD version is likely to be adopted until and unless another home grown book is adopted. I'm not up enough to know when the ICD 11 came out, but it can take time for the necessary system...

Neither does Canada Post. How common is it for mail services to deliver on Sunday?

The USPS used to deliver 7 days a week and multiple times a day. It was possible in some cities to have a complete back and forth via email in one day.

Seinfeld was also a product of the post war New York Jewish scene. His point of view may seem alien if you're not somewhat familiar with that. For a long time, my best friend was a Jew from Brooklyn and I had a lot of exposure to that. But there was always going to be a lot of Americans who wouldn'...

Bill Maher is doing well centering his whole program around being "anti-woke".

You have to be over 35 to remember when Seinfeld went off the air. His audience is aging out of the demographics most advertisers want.

You also have to be over 30 to remember when Bill wasn't a sell out.

Sounds like the direction of travel is set. Sometimes you just have to do things incrementally so the more socially conservative people don't freak out. It's frustrating for more progressively minded people, but it's better to bring people along with you rather than try to force your progressivenes...

No. Nothing against autistics of course but they'd be pedantic, get hung up on tiny details, miss the big picture, have meltdowns, and disagree on everything because there'd be no hive mentality. They'd want everything a little too individuated which would cost a fortune in taxes. It's hard enough ...

Yeah, it's a hard balance between asking questions and not asking too many questions. I try to ask them about as many questions as they ask me but that's a lot easier said than done. It is, I tend to treat it like tennis, I ask a question, they answer it. They ask a question and I answer it. It's n...

People do that because they're not always sure if it's possible at all. I find that it's best to just answer the question and ask if they want it done, or if it's a question for future reference. At least that way, I've eliminated the extra mental work of trying to guess what they actually want, rat...

Dude, you really have a lot of ideas. Have you ever thought about writing a paper? About what you think are good qualities and systems of justice, and the logic behind them.I'm really a little interested. The best argument for equity is the illustration of a grown person and two children watching s...

Unfortunately I don't own a PC and I have to do everything online through my smartphone. Plus I'm kind of a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to game consoles... Do you need exercise to lose weight? No, the whole point to the exercise bit of diet and exercise is to maintain muscle tone. The amount of energy that you typically burn is minimal, and the same as if you just spent an hour in a hot bath as most of the energy burned during exercise is the result o...

It depends what you mean by "digestion" problems. Are you going too much, not enough, or having pain? Nausea? Different problems have different needs. If you're referring to going too often, they usually recommend the BRAT diet short term. That's bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. When ...
