Today my brother and his girlfriend were arguing while watching a movie. Thinking it would be okay to sit next to them and watch the movie, I did. Then they both became silent and I left soon after.

This was really embarrassing…

When it comes to this topic, I’m in the middle. I think self-diagnosis can be good, as it helps people who genuinely have autism and don’t have the resources to be diagnosed. However, I am not a fan of people do self-diagnose because they think autism is cool or they use it as slang to insult themse...

I like grindcore and a lot of microgenres related to grind (thrashcore, fastcore, powerviolence, mincecore, deathgrind, goregrind, etc). I like quite a bit of other metal/punk crossover genres too, like crossover thrash, hardcore, crust, "skramz", thrash metal, etc. I’ve heard of most of ...

I'm curious what other aspie's favorite music genres are.

My favorites are Indie-Rock, Post-Punk, Progressive-Metal, and Progressive-Rock. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Interpol, Mastodon, and Tool.

One that uses complete sentences without superlatives or emotional content, perhaps?

That could be it, yes.

I don’t think you embarrassed yourself a lot. I would keep going and make an effort to keep in contact with them and hang out with each other. I think the key to this, and other social interactions, is confidence. Once you have mastered confidence everything will be smooth sailing. Good luck friend....

Given that the whole point of lying is that you're not supposed to know it's a lie, from the liar's point of view, there really is no expectation for you to have "known" that he was lying. You didn't "make a mistake" for "failing to identify a lie" ahead of time - he l...

I think some music in any genre can be bad. However, It's mostly subjective. I used to hate rap music but one of my buddies got me into $uicideboy$ and now I listen to them quite a lot. Music is definitely subjective, but can always be bad at times.

I have recently found out that I am terrible at knowing when people are lying. I also have a little bit more trouble with understanding sarcasm. Today my brother said, "I'm gonna go check up on my truck." He dropped his truck off of at a workshop since we damaged the oil sensors when we we...

Fighting over different opinions and hating each other for it serves no purpose, and ultimately, only makes everything worse.
