Have you looked into the possibility that denying a job simply because you had a relationship played a factor? Seems to me that you weren't doing anything with your life except being with her and nothing else. You didn't care about the important things to get ahead in life (a degree, decent job, et... |

Namely by the willingness to dump them at the prospect of reconnecting with my ex. I don't know if this will definitely happen, but I could easily see it happening. |

For those of you who don't frequent the Haven, here's a link to what happened to me a week ago today: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt204117.html I'm feeling slightly better (able to eat and sleep normally), but I came to a realization yesterday: I may never be able to have a serious relationship ag... |

Thanks for the kind words folks, it really does help. I'm still having a hard time because I keep on thinking about all of the little things we had in common. I'm also having a difficult time because I want to continue my workout regiment (I've lost 40lbs since the New Years), but the one bike path ... |

By the woman I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with. A bit of history on the two of us: I'm diagnosed with Asperger's and OCD, and she's potentially on the spectrum with some other things I'm not at liberty to disclose. We first "met" about two years ago, when I noticed her constant... |

Engineers and mechanics wash their hands before going to the toilet... Yup, you know you work in a biological or chemical lab (or something similar) when you consider washing your hands before going to the bathroom more important than after. On the original note, people not washing their hands afte... |

I use it for the exact same purpose, though I don't have one of the watch bands. I don't go anywhere without my Nano clipped to my shirt and a pair of noise-isolating headphones (either my Klipsh S4i earbuds, V-Moda Crossfade LP over-ear headphones, or Bowers & Wilkins P5 on-ear headphones). I'm about to finish getting all of the best guns gold (save for sniper rifles), and I have 5 classes set up for my favorite guns (with the exception of the Counter-Sniper, these all typically net me 25-60 kills per game, averaging around 35), and 3 free for whatever I happen to want to screw around ... |

$50 over three days? I'd probably take care of my first day with a Papa Murphy's pizza ($10). For the next two days I'd just go to Market of Choice (an alternative to Whole Foods in Oregon) for some organic maple bacon, their deli's chicken strips (best I've ever had), Annie's Mac and Cheese, and, f... |

A watched pot never boils. I keep busy and think about other things until the wait is over. I suggest you do the same. This. I'm applying for jobs where it can literally take months for them to get back to me. So I do two things: Constantly apply for new jobs in case the old ones don't pan out, and... |

Swag, as others have pointed out, is free crap you get somewhere.
To have swagger, is to display a (typically) undeserved sense of arrogance with the way one acts and/or walks (see: most pop and rap artists). |

For confronting someone who stole from you? None. No matter what martial art you train in, it is nothing short of stupid to attack a stranger. If they stole something from you, alert the authorities if possible. If not, let it go. Even if you had training, most thugs have had a life time of fighting... |

It depends on the type of lactose intolerance. A lot of people get worse with the typical kind, where you have trouble digesting it and it can cause you to get quite gassy. I, on the other hand, have the kind where it causes internal bleeding if I have too much, I would literally die if I were to tr... |

I lost 20lbs in a month doing the following two things: 1. This was the hardest for me: Get out of the habit of eating until you're full, only eat until you're no longer hungry. Even if you still have a nearly full plate, just save the rest for leftovers. 2. Once you get through step 1, start eating... |
