A Kind of Spark is a great book and TV series about a girl named Addie who is autistic. Her character is played by an autistic actress and so are her sisters. It's one of the best representations of autism I've seen.

Just curious. I've been thinking about it lately.

I don't need toxic positivity . I try not to dismiss or invalidate anyone's experience. I know we all struggle with things on a daily basis. I was just trying to get people to see if their autism or any of their autistic traits have been helpful to them or blessed them in any way. Besides, "Ho...

At first, I was INFP-T. Then I was ISFP-T. I just took the test and it said I was INTP-T. So, you decide.

I don’t like the idea of Autism being compared to pitbulls. I'm sorry. I used that analogy because dogs are one of my special interests and I think Pit Bulls are underappreciated just like autistic people are. I think you are coming from a place with good intentions. I get the message you are tryin...

It's a TV show instead of a movie, but it is so great: A Kind of Spark. It's based off the book by Elle McNicoll. So good. You can watch it on BYUTV for free: http://www.byutv.org/a-kind-of-spark?utm_source=byub&utm_client=android&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=share_2024&utm_content=...

It could be Cyclothymia, a less severe version of Bipolar Disorder, but I'm not experienced, so don't take my word for it.

I asked everyone how autism blessed them, and half of the responses I received were along the lines of "Autism doesn't bless me." I don't buy that. I know it's hard being autistic, but flowers only grow after the storm. . . Ahh . . . youthful idealism is so precious, yet shatters so easil...

I have an imaginary friend named Tayla. She has a Golden Retriever. She refuses to tell me his name, though, so I just call him Bobo. She has a sister named Tala. They come from Imagination Land. The only way for them to get to our world is by creating a portal which I always put in my backyard. The...

I think you're doing great. I'd say that you should give him the opportunity to go, but don't make him feel guilty if he just doesn't feel capable of going. For me, headphones help, but when I'm having bad days, they don't help as much and I shutdown. It depends on the day for me. I went to a band p...

What is something good that has happened to you because of your autism? How has you being autistic blessed you? For me, my special interest is Studio C. I love to comment on every post they make on YouTube and now Instagram. It became a routine. Studio C posts, I comment. In May, I was able to go to...

I love routines and being in the know. But lately I've been confused. I know I'm autistic, and l know I like routines, but when I try to make a productive routine, I get bored of it after a bit. It's like the thought of continuing it is exhausting. Is it laziness or ADHD or is it something else like...

I wrote a poem/song to help me articulate my experience with masking. It's about when my family and friends criticize me because of my special interest in Studio C. What do you guys think? Why Is That a Bad Thing? In a world Where emotions are suppressed In a world Where people are depressed I don't...
