And replace it with what? More profiteering layers of corporate greed facilitated by American oligarchs?

Who says I have to replace it with anything?

can I ask you to elaborate? do you mean a smaller government with less power? America already tried that in the beginning and it didn't go well. Then again the country and the world have changed a lot, maybe that would work, I don't know. What didn't go well? To lay out just one benefits of a small...

I'm not a journalist but I am yet to see a single Palestinian on camera show remorse over the Oct 7 attacks. Yeah, me too, and I subscribe to a lot of left wing newsletters that are highly sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. I recognize that it's an emotional reaction, but seeing them celebrate a...

You did write Dismantling the left would be fantastic for the country. How do you get to concentration camps from there? I wasn't being dishonest at all. How do you wish to go about "dismantling the left?" Yes, you are, by reading an extreme meaning into an anodyne comment. I'd dismantle ...

and some reactionary idiots think its mistakes apply to all of trans care. the right looooooves to reduce things to black or white, good or evil What does any of that have to do with what I said? Also, the right hardly has a monopoly on black and white thinking, I'm not even sure that they dominate...

Depends what you mean by "good," and by "this collection of attitudes." Good, as in it's short, snappy, and most people know what you mean by it, and as I've laid out the collection of attitudes many times already, no need to repeat them again when there are perfectly good searc...

According to your political leanings, they don't lie in having the basics of modern society that even us lowly Canadians enjoy.. Remind me, what are my political leanings? ...things like reasonable public education, universal healthcare, better employment laws all around (I recently learned that if...

I've said this before, but it bears repeating; a good chunk of Trump's appeal is that he makes liberals crazy, so every deranged post about the guy is basically an advertisement for him. As I've also said before, I don't like the guy, I think he's incompetent and a fraud, but I hate liberals, especi...

So to be clear, even explicitly biased sources like SEGM concede that the service is being replaced by regional services, rather than the care no longer being offered. Read a little deeper about the lawsuits and the sloppy practices exposed by the whistleblowers, this isn't the "they're just r...

Are you being disingenuous and can’t figure out why the biggest scam artist to ever live, who attempted a coup of the USA, is headline news? Or do you just not like that not everyone sees him via maga coloured glasses and can’t handle the orange leaderbean being criticized for his criminal conduct?...

Do either of you have sources? I do, and I'll post some of them, but for the record I'm not trying to turn this into a trans issues debate thread (my interest in such things is limited to their culture war effects), and I'm not looking to get into a drawn out argument as to the veracity of sources....

Personally I've always found that more amusing than annoying. It leaves me wondering how they managed to get informed within that narrow window without becoming more broadly informed. Yeah, and for me it's also a bit of a self awareness check, like I notice myself getting irritated that someone isn...

Even if the word got innocently twisted, I don't deny that many Republican politicians are now milking it for all the political capital it's got as a pejorative in the heads of their fans. There are enough quotes in those articles to demonstrate that. Be that as it may, nobody has come up with a go...
