Your interests are YOURS and no one has the right to judge you for them. These things are special to you and not everyone will understand. That's okay, but I think people need to be more accepting of others. I never liked how people get so judgemental especially if you are an adult who happened to l...

This might seem oddly specific, but I was considering running some fan accounts and meme pages for some of my favorite 90s and 2000s shows...does anyone have any tips on engaging types of posts or what platforms are the best to do this on? Thanks! :)

Yeah, this is something that I really struggled with, but I was raised in a fundamentalist Christian religion that had very rigid notions of gender and men and women’s roles in marriage. Men were supposed to be the head of the house, and women were supposed to be submissive. I felt like I could be ...

Definitely. It's gotten worse with age. It's definitely something I should discuss in therapy. It used to only happen with people I am close to, but lately I have just been a loose cannon with anyone who irritates me in the slightest.

Penelope Taynt from The Amanda Show. She's very fixated on Amanda, is somewhat oblivious to social norms (not understanding that she is disrupting the show with her shenanigans), and she's also very focused on her goal of meeting Amanda above all else.

Most of my interests are more general: classical music - all time periods, art history, French and Spanish, and literature. I go through spurts where I’m obsessed with a Zelda game, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, or WrongPlanet. I don’t talk about my interests with people offline that often on accou...

Do you think being on the spectrum makes it difficult to conform to traditional gender roles? As a female who was born that way and still is, I've always had difficulties in relationships with men as my brain is just not wired to adhere to "normal" roles for women. I'm not sure if it is li...

Speaking from experience, no, I never picked my interests. It was typically things that came to me, if that makes sense. I might hear a band or see a show randomly one day and it will eventually become something I hyperfixate on. It has rarely happened in my life but it's always a joy when it does. ...

What would you say is your most specific or niche interest? Something that may seem odd to other people? Also, does anyone feel embarrassed to share them with people you know irl? I've always struggled with sharing some of my interests with people irl because I'm afraid they will judge me and think ...

It's really hard to say. Things have been getting bad again (which is why I came here in the first place...to maybe meet people in a safe place to feel a sense of belonging.) I guess today I would say a -1. It wasn't the worst day but my anxiety has been through the roof. I don't know whether my lif...

So sorry to hear that you're going through this. Finding that out is never easy, and it's even harder to deal with everything that comes with that. It's a lot to endure. I recently found out my dad has colon cancer and it's been difficult, especially since we have a strained relationship to begin wi...

Hi! Stumbled upon this site while randomly googling stuff related to my interests and found myself here! I decided to sign up because I thought it might be nice to be in a community with people similar to me. I am a 28 year old woman who has many specific interests...most notably 90s Britpop music, ...
