I was thirteen. It was amazingly reassuring to know that my weirdness had a name.

I can't even remember how long this has been a problem, but it's weird. I'm not faceblind- I can tell two people apart when I see them together. I can even recognize some people I've known for a long time such as family members or people I've known since middle school. Yet, faces of celebrities and ...

People do it all the time and I really hate it. I hate that when I have a meltdown, adults assume that it's just because the damn kids that are so rude and don't consider that a) I have a goddamn disability and b) maybe they were the ones initially acting out of line. I don't care if a kid in the 19...

When I turn on my computer (it is a Windows XP from 2001), I get a quick flash that says "invalid boot.ini file, loading (I can't read the rest of the message fast enough)". Is this something that will come back to bite me over time?

I was given a job offer at the interview, with a written contract. Three days before I was scheduled to start, they changed their hours and said that, due to my being seventeen, they were no longer able to hire me. I turned down other offers prior to this notice. I know that this is perfectly legal,...

I have a hard time taking this question seriously. You two were only 14, probably struggling with accepting your lesbianism at the time, and there was cutting going on. But I see you're only 18, so 14 to you seems like recent history. Live another 10 years or so, and you'll look back on it and see ...

Please, no comments about how a lesbian relationship is "not normal". I have my own opinions about that, thanks. When I was fourteen, I was dating a girl who would 1. Tell me that she had to drink cough syrup because I didn't call her. 2. Call my parents names when they wouldn't let me see her. 3. W...

That is awesome! You're going to be doing so much good- I don't even...

Any medicine you take should be your decision if you have the intellectual capacity to address this in writing.

It is your body, and it should be treated for your convenience, not your mother's.

I am scared of mice. I don't mind them in cages, and I've even held one, but I really freak out when I hear one in my house. I saw one in my room yesterday and was screaming for about half an hour. I know that they can't hurt me, I just find it creepy to hear them- and see them- skittering around my...

Being a lifeguard, I don't have much of a choice. For some odd reason, bathing suits are the only outfit I don't mind showing skin in.

Just state that you have certain quirks like being around too many people bothers you; don't bring the disability part into it. On the other hand, I've found that being open about my Tourette Syndrome has made interviewers more trustful of me; they know that I don't have a lot to hide if I can revea...
