My flatmate jiggles her feet and hips while in the lighter stages of sleep. We tried looking up what it is she does and why but couldn't find answers. As for me, no I can't sit still. It's the only hyperactive criterion I meet for ADHD. I'm otherwise inattentive. I also have motor tic disorder which...

I'm pretty good at proofreading. But when I went to college to study computer programming, I found I completely sucked at it. Seriously, I was crap. I found that I didn't understand it at all. It was like a foreign language without any rules. Somehow I got through Java, but when I started C# I just ...

I used to take 100mgs of Seroquel at night to help me sleep. This was on the advice of a psychiatrist and other doctors in hospital where I had a 3 week stay due to depression. I took it for 6 months in which I gained 30kgs. I stopped taking it to see if I could sleep without it and I found I could....

I've heard of it and I thought it was part of ADHD - Inattentive Type, which I have. I had always thought I was just lazy and spacey before diagnosis. I used to get into trouble often in school for daydreaming. And when I was working in the 2000s, my supervisor accused me of being on drugs (I wasn't...

I don't think we have that option here in Australia.

I'm ADHD though, and because I take medication for it, that is on my licence card. Specifically: Take medication/treatment as directed by health professional.

Sometimes I feel really stupid, especially when it comes to social media and networking. Computer technology is also a bit beyond me.

But I have a bachelor's degree in psychology so I can't be completely dense. My IQ is above average but nothing to write home about.

When I joined WP, it was kind of small and I got to know everyone pretty easily. Then when my boyfriend was banned (amidst a lot of other people) I was put off being here. So I left and didn't come back for maybe a year? I came back out of curiosity and wanting to know more about others' experiences...

I totally understand it. When I used to do martial arts, I wanted to buy a blue chest guard but they only had red ones so I had to go with that instead. I know I would have felt better and sparred better with a blue one. Whenever I've watched boxing I've always gone for the boxer in blue. I just lik...

If I'm at a barbecue in the summertime, then it's likely there will be beetroot. I love beetroot but I can't stand it when it or its juice touches other food. So I dish up a serving of beetroot by itself, eat it, clean the plate, then get servings of the rest of the food. It's the only food I'm fuss...

I have a green puzzle piece tattooed on my right wrist. I got it shortly after being diagnosed with autism. I had no idea about certain associations having the puzzle piece as their logo.

I like my tattoo, it has kept its bright green colour very well.

For photos I say "cheese" and that generally makes me look like I'm smiling properly. Only thing is, it doesn't reach my eyes. I find it hard to make my smile genuine.

You're very kind to help him out. I remember when I had a maintenance guy come to reinstall our smoke alarms. He was a talkative English guy and while he was working he was saying how it was thirsty work and then he started on about his favourite types of tea. At first I just listened, not getting i...

My car is so old that it has the old style crank up and down windows. It would take me a while to get used to power windows I reckon.
