I love the feel of string or fibres running between my fingers and around my face. My mother lost more than one candlewick bedspread to my desire for the strings. It just feels good and right. Your hands are so sensitive and so is your tounge (although I don't put it in my mouth). I do remember some...

Oh yes! Just this weekend I had people bringing odds and ends like small metal tags to me and asking what they were (they were what was left of rotted telephone poles that had been used for landscape shoring in the 1950's). I can't spell, but my memory for things I've seen, touched, read or smelled ...

I also have a very deep voice, deeper than most men's. It's also hoarse, especially if I'm struggling with having to talk to someone when I'm being sucked into non-verbal mode. My voice is also very flat affect, and while animals trust, listen to, and are comforted by my voice, other (nt) people alm...

To want to be different would sever me from who I really am. I can't even imagine it. Makes me kind of sick to even try and think about it! I could never write those essays in school where you were supposed to write about "who you would rather be". Duh. That's just so wrong it is sickening.

Yes, try one of the small headed, soft, kid's toothbrushes. I'm an adult with a small mouth and normal-sized, hard, brushes are terrible. I do like the Colgate battery one with the head that vibrates (doesn't rotate, just goes back and forth). Toothpaste is what really gets me. Why does it have to b...

My parents' idea of "affection" was incomprehensible to me. I could never understand when I was supposed to be affectionate, and when not. I also never figured out how to respond to offers of affection from them. If I acted on "You are not loving!" by hugging, I was just as likely to get slapped or ...

In the USA, I don't think they should be asking "do you have a disability?". I think they are only supposed to ask direct, job performance related questions -- like "can you alphabetize?", "Can you work more than 8 hour shifts if needed?". I thought the ADA prohibits straight up questions about disa...

Talking to my mother about AS healed wounds between us that have been there my entire life. I came close to hating my parents because they kept doing what I saw as sensless and abusive things. They were frustrated beyond belief with me because I am so bright but wouldn't conform to a single thing th...

Evil washing machine in unbalanced spin cycle.
It sets up this syncopated thing in my brain and I am struck dumb and blind and just get completely off on it.
God I love random, syncopated rhythms! |

Who doesn't wonder about the mechanics of things? Bah. I like the "almost no women score this high" text.
I did.
Maybe that's why I keep getting called "unnatural" by management.
I just got told I should be more "upbeat" and "perky". And more eye contact too.
Gah. |

Most troublesome: I agree, dealing with ambiguity. Peoples' contradictory, sloppy, evaluations and explanations. It reduces me to -- literally -- terror in short order. Coupled with that, their seeming inability to hear what I'm saying and appreciate that I'm saying exactly what I intend for them to...

My hair is mid-back length, very fine, straight, dark, and all I do is part it in the middle and let it dry. I tried other stuff with it, but this is what looks best and is easiest on me. Well, except for when I shaved my head. Completely. For a couple years. I let my youngest son shave it when I lo...

In my dream last night, we moved our 45' camper out into a prairie field and set it down on a foundation of boulders and rammed earth. After that we covered the whole outside with adobe and reinforced it with cedar logs, then built an arbour and planted grape vines on it. My shoulders and arms ached...
