I think part of it is the need I have to totally think and focus on something. My interests are fairly consistant but the intesity of the obsession comes and goes. The problem I face is that when it is really intense I go into debt buying every book on the subject because I am scared I won't have th...

I saw a TV commercial and I think Argos have them on special offer now.

EDIT: if you shop online Argos have a seven member cat family for £15.29 as well as others for less than that.

The families are very expensive really. Luckily I think with a bit of creativity you can make some really nice things and various miniatures and dolls house furniture can be found on eBay and they go quite well with Sylvanians. I like to use wooden objects rather than the plastic objects made especi...

Same thing happened with me, I really resented my dad for telling me how to walk. I got into the habit of swinging my arms but know I have stopped, partly as an act of defiance I guess.

I love them, they are one of my obsessive interests which comes and goes in intensity but generally I do like them very much. When I was a kid my parents wouldn't let me have them. I guess because I'm a man and I feel I have to be 'grown up' I don't really tell anyone about it but I started collecti...

Thanks.

I guess I'm scared that I'll be on it forever or that it might have bad effects.

I have just been prescribed Sertraline hydrochloride. I haven't picked it up or taken it yet. I'm concerned that the doctor didn't properly talk me through it.

Is anyone on it? What does it do and how does it effect you?

I walk ten miles a week as I walk to work and it is a mile each way so the doctor was happy with my fitness. I also exercise in my room but I don't leave the house except to go to work and buy food so she said I need to do something to get out and see people to reduce my anxiety but I think it will ...

My doctor said I need two new hobbies that will get me out of the house. I haven't a clue what to do and actually don't want to get out of the house anyway. But does anyone have any suggestions, so at least I can say I have thought about it.

We broke up last week. He said he's been thinking about it for a while. I pretended to agree with him just to save my pride but I was upset. I think the big difference is that he gets paid loads of money and goes on lots of holidays every year but I don't and I'd never be able to go with him (and in...

Thanks for the advice again, I think everything is ok. This is all very new to me so when people say things about what this or that means I guess I need to be careful.

it went very well today and I think we are back on track :D

Thanks for the advice. I guess I should just take him at his word and see how things are on Sunday.

I have been seeing someone for three months. I feel very comfortable with him (I'm also a him) and actually I sometimes think he has aspie traits too. I really like him and we stay at each others places most weekends. I sometimes find it difficult (like I often get stomach upsets when I'm away) but ...

I find this time of year very difficult. When I was a kid I would hide in my room or the toilet at midnight because it was overwhelming. If someone invites me to something like a dinner party I will go as long as I feel comfortable with the people but that has only happened once, on the whole no one...

Waitrose is a less stressful place to shop and the lighting is usually easier to deal with too but the stores are often smaller so can be harder to move through and more crowded.
