I watched this video and found it very insightful. Even though I have a slight feeling preference, I likely really am on the border between INFJ and INTJ. Enneagram 4w5. Either one relates to me at times of growth and times of stress. I don't fit in a neat little box, but oh well. Such as life. I c...

Sounds like a worthy thing to try if it may help. I've seen mention of using it for treating IBS and Crohn's disease. Just keep in mind this little section: The researchers caution that this was a small, open-label trial that is subject to placebo effects, so the results should be "cautiously i...

How about proprioceptive resonance? Proprioceptive Thought: An Introduction to How I Think (Not me, FYI) Wow, that blew me away... Me too. 8O It was very insightful, especially about computer learning and how that each thought/ subthought generates a child thought and branches out from there. A par...

I don't everyone's story, but in my own case I would say that the challenges I face because of my autism come and go, but the autism itself, the way my brain works, stays the same. I think it is like wearing glasses. If I wear my glasses, I can see fine, but my myopia has not gone. If I take the gl...

@MJIthewriter: I'm afraid you misread my post. I didn't say, "Just OK." I said, "OK", to which the NT replied "Just OK?" and flummoxed me. I did read your post in a hurry. My appologies, I had a cab come right as I was about halfway typing my reply. I didn't have time to go over it before sending. ...

As the first translations indicate, NTs can be very hard to read. I had a conversation that started off as: NT: "How are you?" Me: "OK" NT: "Just OK?" Now, what am I supposed to say here? "I'm overjoyed to see you, even though I have absolutely no recollection of you from high school." I can handle...

millie, interesting reply. Often I am told I think too much. I'm aware I type too long but not sure how to shorten it. One thing I learned the hard way, when someone with autism talks, most often they talk about what interests them and what they intend to say. More often than not an NT is probably l...

I'm joining in this thread late and slowly trying to catch up. I got to page 2 and found some really good posts that really struck me. I'm really saddened about the having to give up some of what people may call special traits in order to fit in better, but it sounds realistic. You can't focus on on...

I'm wondering about this with myself. At one time I used to eat bread like an addiction. (a sign of food allergy from what I read). I've since then cut back eating bread and I never have been a fan of milk. I can't stand to drink it, but I can eat other dairy products. One thing I notice is that I t...

I'm slow at reading and tend to skip lines and tire out/ get really sleepy. But if I took the time to read, I could remember a good bit of what I read. When I am reading a narrative, I tend to recreate a mental movie in my head and see it visually. That movie is what I remember. With some books I re...

I just started reading this and felt a sense of familiarity there because whether it is in real life or on the internet, there is one thing that always challenges me and creates unintended conflict: I don't agree with things like chain of command. If someone tells me to go to someone in order to com...

I feel better now, but I had a rough night. I mentioned popularity before, but when I was thinking it over, I thought more it's that I feel I don't fit in. It seems to be a feeling that follows me no matter where I go, in real life or the internet. Even if I do get praise time to time it doesn't reg...

One of my problems is that I wrote some poetry, writing, etc in a social networking site and I felt largely ignored compaired to other people. I wish I didn't feel that way. That's one of my ongoing struggles with myself. It seems I want to stand out and have some form of popularity. I don't like ge...

I have a hard time falling asleep and I have trouble waking up in the morning. I noticed with me, it seems the more dreams I have and can remember, them more groggy and tired I feel when waking up.
