Friends don't take advantage. Simple as that. If someone does, drop them like the proverbial spike-encrusted hot potato. Keep your distance, and never trust too much.

"Misanthropy is a general dislike, distrust, disgust, contempt, or hatred of the human species"

Seems like a sensible philosophy to me. After all, humans are little more than chimps with less hair and a better vocubulary. Even though they think they are far superior.

I honestly believe that people talk about nothing so much because they think their mouths will heal up if they don't.

I prefer acquaintances. They're less demanding. One or two friends is good, but more than that and my time and energy start ebbing away.

Charlie is the man "Look at people, walking around, drinking cups of tea, getting little bits of sandwich round their mouths as they eat. God, they're disgusting. I say f**k people. People ruin everything. Look at them. Look at their eyes and their ears and their hair, growing on their stupid f**kin...

I think misanthropy is definitely the way to go. Neither I nor the human race can put up with each other for long, and neither us is likely to change. Best off writing off people as terminally incomprehensible and finding a way to live with yourself.

If only 3 people turn out to be interested (which is 3 more than present), I could hold the meet in the Scotch Malt Whisky Society members' room (as a member I can sign 3 non-members in). It's certainly not crowded and is quiet during weekday afternoons. And no-one would have to drink any whisky Wh...

What would people here think of a London meet, sometime between 2-13 February, and where would be a good place to have it? make it somewhere with a cafe so people can sit and chat :D I'd figured out that much. I was hoping more for suggestions of a specific location, as London's a big place and I d...

Of course, if you were to arrange something for mid-February, I could go then.

I've met plenty of people who I think I'm compatible with, but I'm sure they'd beg to differ. I've never found anyone who would be compatible with me, or vice versa. I'm presently looking for an AS woman, as I presume one would understand me better. But the odds on that are against me, I'm afraid.

As far as I'm aware, no woman has ever been interested in me (if they have been, they haven't told me, and if they don't tell me, what am I supposed to do?). I don't think it's my looks, so presumably my personality must be repellent in some way. I still think there's something about how love and da...

The reason I don't drive (despite my job I can afford lessons and maybe a car), is the fact that I manage to bump into things even when stationary. I would not be someone who you would want to be next to in the overtaking lane on the M6. I would probably lose concentration and finish upside down on ...
