it's amazing how long will I wait to "make that phone call" lol

Same exact thing going on with me, haha. I take forever to make myself make phone calls that I need to make - sometimes (often) I don't even do it at all.

I have a hard time trusting any "epiphanies" that come from the result of (mostly) temporary brain-scrambling... Only in rare cases (such as preexisting conditions being brought to the surface, for example, schizophrenia), or cases where someone is using them -far- too much, is there anything other...

I -loathe- phone calls. But with certain people I'm alright with talking on the phone with them (although I would prefer other forms of communication). When I'm on the phone though, it's much worse when I am talking on the phone in front of other people. I get extra quiet, usually, and if the person...

Seeing teeth in smiles, and smiles in general, creep me out, and can make me feel fear. In some situations I feel no fear when I should be feeling it - such as when walking around my house the other day, turning the corner, and being about 15 feet from a large grizzly bear. No spike in heartbeat or ...

I want to elaborate a little: I think the message they're trying to send is "hey, look at this character: AS is not a real disability." Just shows ignorance on their part. I just find that character to be purely offensive, and I'm diagnosed with HFA (so similar to AS it's practically the same as AS ...

I hated how it was portrayed in the show - especially in contrast to how they portray other disabilities. To me, it says the writers think AS is a joke.

I like deep/hard pressure. It can be very calming and soothing. I prefer it mostly on my chest and arms, but pretty much anywhere is good. I've never had a weighted blanket, but I think I'd love having one. I often crave this sort of pressure, but only get anything close to it though my weighted bl...

For me the strongest sensory problems are tactile, followed by auditory, followed by visual. I also have very high pain tolerance and often get cuts or bruises without noticing them. I've also had some painful stuff done (slicing out a chunk of my ear cartilage at the thickest point) without discomf...

All throughout my time going to university, I procrastinated on everything - but I got excellent grades because I still got everything done and did it well. The thing for me, was that I needed the pressure of an impending deadline to force myself to do something. I used to try to do stuff early or w...

To be clear, I don't think it's the food itself that is the stim, except maybe some crunchy things, but everything associated with it. Pacing is a very effective stim for me. Frequent trips to the kitchen scratched that itch a bit, and was accepted, whereas pacing in the house wasn't. Add in some c...

I used to stim a lot as a child, but my parents "corrected" the habit. And sometime after that, I started overeating as a kid, and kind of didn't stop for many years. After my diagnosis, I started letting myself stim freely, and I noticed a reduction in my desire to stress eat. I think food became ...

This happens to me often, especially with things like greetings, or when speaking with cashiers and such - I'll try saying something like 'hello' or responding to them at all, and it'll often just come out as a whisper or a mouthed word with no breath behind it.

Eating noises, breathing noises, and typing noises all drive me crazy. I just eat alone. I also hate being around other people when I eat, even if they're not eating.

Psychedelics save the day again. I've had plenty of epiphanies on them - they're a great tool for self-improvement.
