I wasn't a part of that particular discussion, but removing those posts was utterly inappropriate. Shame on you.

You just don't get it. Even you admit that you don't know anything about him, and you seem to think this boosts your position. And if you don't know about his very wide reaching reputation then look it the f**k up.

Just curious if anyone here uses medical cannabis for their autism (or autism related) symptoms? I've never used cannabis in anyway at all, so I don't know much about it, but I do hear that people use it for curing practically everything, including autism/aspergers, anxiety, and depression. Cannabi...

There's nothing idiotic about my skepticism of that guy. Maybe you don't understand what the word skeptical means. If you think his science is questionable, how is it that you are the only one, among anyone who is serious and knowledgeable about science? He has a fantastic reputation in his field a...

Your "skepticism" about Bill Nye is just simply idiotic. But your use of the term "climate change alarmist," in any context, is absolutely unpardonable.

I have read some of his Wikipedia article and apparently his highest academic achievement (excluding his honorary doctorates) is a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering gained in... 1977. His pinnacle scientific achievement is inventing a "hydraulic resonance suppressor tube used on Bo...

I am skeptical of someone who presents themselves as a "science guy" in popular culture, from the outset. Oh come on, it's for a children's show about learning about science! He's since gone way beyond the children's show, but that's the origin of the name. And even if it wasn't he really...

His wealth alone makes him despicable. People who hoard enormous wealth are a huge detriment to the rest of mankind. Some try to also do some good with it, like Bill Gates, but Elon Musk has done very little that was not for his own benefit and his own self-aggrandizement. And as a person, he's extr...

I'm so sorry you are going through such a difficult emotional time.

As you yourself know, you are qualified and a good worker, so a job will come along for you. Just hang in there!

Better mobility aids for people who have the use of all their limbs but just get tired very quickly, like me. For instance a 3 or 4 wheeled power-assisted (with pedals but also with a boost for going uphill) rugged mountain bike would allow me to go hiking. Wheelchairs that don't assume you can't si...

It's helped for me to restrict the times when I eat. If I eat something, then I can't eat again for 5 to 6 hours. I can't always stick to it, but when I do it limits snacking, which is my worst weight-gain problem. I eat mostly bean salads, tuna (dressed with oil and vinegar and no bread), hard boil...

I think that to understand great poetry you have to kind of get the hang of how it works and how to approach it, and then it becomes accessible, and the more you read the more it opens up. I read Stephen Fry's book on how to enjoy poetry because it annoyed me that I couldn't understand it. I don't ...

I love (good) poetry but it's challenging and requires effort which I'm not usually willing to put in, so I rarely read poetry. But when I was in college and there was poetry I had to read (and the poetry we read in class was some of the best ever written) I was blown away by how wonderful it was. I...

I speak English, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese and can understand but only somewhat speak Spanish and French. But all my languages were acquired as a child when it's more easily done and I'm not actively learning a language now, though I'm working a bit on improving my Spanish. I do find languag...

Income needed to live in Seattle is over $200k, $300k+ in NYC, and $350k in San Francisco. This isn't to live comfortably, this is how much you have to make to not live on the streets. That's just not true. A lot of your premises seem to be based on incorrect factual perceptions that you hold. I've...
