Smoking OUTSIDE isn't imposing anything on anyone unless they have a victim complex or are a control freak. In Fairbanks, it routinely drops to -50F in the winter, and, yes I have to go outside to smoke. I'm not sure if I have a victim complex, or if I'm a control freak, but it sure seems imposing.

Is it possible that your report could be perceived as "self aggrandizing", or "tossing someone under the bus", possibly him? One thought, count the number of times the word "I" appears in your report.
