I have III loaded on the computer, but really haven't played it.

I still play II often. I haven't played II in a few months, but I was thinking about it just the other day and getting the urge to start again.

Maybe I will try III instead this time. :)

1) Look at your watch. That's a cue that you need to get going. 2) Interrupt with, "Sorry, do you have the time?" Then say you need to get going. 3) Limit eye-contact 4) Get "distracted" by something and then apologize for being "rude" and end the conversation then. 5) Say things like, "Anyway..." ...

Sometimes it's good to be armed with a few social tools. One of the best tools is a mobile. In most social context, people will have mobiles in their hands, and if you're getting bored or want a conversation to end you can always looks at your mobile, pretend you have an important text message, and...

Ok, simple. I constantly over think all this stuff. It is rather straight forward, but I don't get it sometimes. Thanks for helping.

I used to obsess about what others thought of me and would bug other people on what people said about me. What I figured out over time was that some of my friends would tell me some things, but not others. I had the luxury of over hearing some of them when they didn't know I was listening. So it cam...

Actually, if they don't 'make space' for you even though they are still talking, it means they don't want to include you in the discussion. I learned that the hard way.

Oh good point! I never thought of that. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind.

Conversations typically have lulls where people pause or pause longer between talking. That's the best time to join in. Yes, but even if there are lulls, I am still "processing" what was just said, but by the time I get through with that, they have already started the next section. Maybe, I can tak...

Another way, and this is probably really stupid and corny, but I'll raise/wave my hand, like in school.

I have done the same thing! I have done it in public as well, but on a more subtle approach: just raising my arm at the elbow and waving a few fingers.

My opinion is "no". The way I see it, it's no one's business, and it will forever change the way your employer and co-workers interact with you. That's assuming they even have a clue what Asperger's is. It's entirely possible they will see it as some sort of mental illness, and shun you. I complete...

I find myself constantly just standing there in a conversation wanting to say something, but at a loss of when to jump in or way to slow on doing so.

Anyone have any tips on when and how to (if possible) politely interupt?

Me too; it's like magic. I think the same thing. The speed at which they go through conversation and make elaborate replies to questions on the spot just amazes me. Wow. It can make me feel really stupid for it sometimes takes me days, or even weeks when thinking back on a conversation to come up w...

Interesting... So, from what I take from what people said here, it helps to use an apology in order for the other person to not feel your being rude for their rudeness of talking to much or to long? OK, that makes sense to me. Eye contact is used to let the other person know you are listening to the...

There are many times when I get someone who talks and talks and talks. It is very hard for me to interupt them to stop. They go on and on and on. I know some people like to talk, but I have no idea if the body language I am doing or not doing is giving them the green light to keep talking. I don't k...
