Does EVERYONE have childhood trauma? [opinion=mine] I think so. A major factor being how well a person deals with trauma and how well they recover from it. "Why does this always happen to me?", "I am a victim!", and "Feel sorry for me!" signify a person who does not de... |

You know you've been brainwashed when you just handwave all the ways an economic model doesn't work in order to declare that it's been actually working just swell the entire time. To the capitalist, capitalism is the natural state of things and always has been. Nevermind that this very specific eco... |

I don't think Fnord will recover from that one. There is nothing to 'recover' from. As stated... While Capitalism, as ... |

You know you've been brainwashed when you just handwave all the ways an economic model doesn't work in order to declare that it's been actually working just swell the entire time. Yeah, Communists are like that. While Capitalism, as an economic system, may not work "just swell" all the ti... |

Capitalism is an economic system, not a justice system. It is the latter that keeps the former in check. |

The feudal system has been completely overthrown in China Wrong. You do not know me, you do not know much about me, and you do not know my thought processes, so you have to invent a straw man, put my name on it, and attack it instead of what I have said -- it is common knowledge that when a person ... |

What path lead you to eventually accept yourself? 6 years of honorable military service. I found out that I could do practically anything I could put my mind to (within reason), and that I was not the "weak, lazy, good-for-nothing loser" that my XYF and other relatives said I was. The onl... |

A little reminder of your avowed fidelity is okay.
Controlling every aspect of a person's life out of jealousy is simply wrong. |

I'm not sure there's a huge difference. Either way you're working on someone else's means of production with little power or agency in the grand scheme of things. The biggest difference being that no matter who 'employs' you in a Feudal system, ultimately the person at the top owns all the means of... |

They either break down and fall into Capitalism or devolve into a Feudal system run by autocrats and oligarchs. So you do prove the point that Capitalism is bad. Not at all. To "fall into" something in this context is to fall into a default state that works . Yet you never seem to get ti... |

My XYF would get angry with me for even speaking to other women. She flew into a rage that lasted into the wee hours because I smiled and said, "Thank you" to the woman who served us at a fancy restaurant. She dropped in unexpectedly to my workplace to count the number of women who worke... |

One theme keeps rolling through the pro-commie replies in this and other threads: "If a Communist government fails, then it isn't real Communism". This includes China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam, and the former Soviet Union (this included Tito's Yugoslavia). They either break down ... |
