I almost constantly have a song stuck in my head, and when I do I tend to want to actually hear the song just to get the real thing and get it out of my head temporarily(It registers in my head differently hearing it than I do thinking it). This exactly. I always have a song playing, and also the i...

I feel this way. I do want friendships but I find the process of keeping it going I be draining. I don't mind being there for them, but they aren't there for me when I need them. And they resent that I am bored by the social norms that dictate what friendships must do. Why must I ask how your day is...

I do think while stimming. Sometimes I play those visual games too. (ok a lot) Sometime my best thinking is while stimming. Either rubbing my fist against my forehead, which replaced banging my head on the wall... or pacing.. or rubbing my thumb over and over on something.

I can't explain my aversion, as I don't understand it myself. I do tend to avoid watching things she's in, or reading things by her. Honestly I have no idea why. Something in my head just screams at me.

I receive $329 from SSI and $351 from SSDI. I also get $669 just for food and $636 for the kids. I also have Medicare and state insurance and live in a very nice subsidized housing complex where we pay a portion of the rent. Only the SSI and the SSDI are for me, the other money amounts are based off...

I love the machines in hospitals. I stare at them. Sometimes they're predictable and I can match my breathing with them, sometimes they have an uneven rhythm and I spend my time trying to find a pattern that doesn't exists. I like the lights and the blinking. I like knowing what each machine does an...

Did you eat something that she saved for herself? Or that was for a particular meal? or simply was a nutritional disaster? (us moms tend to get upset about that)

I only get money once a month so my bills get paid close to the 4th of the month every time. I can't spend any money on anything until the bills are actually paid. They MUST get paid first. A very strong sense of urgency there.

My very ASish friend can be triggered by words or phrases or by laughter at whe he perceives to be the wrong moments I can be very hypersensitive to how things are worded. My daughter and I are very sensitive to laughter and have had meltdowns over it. Certain words do cause extreme anger or meltdo...

I often rub my knuckles hard against my forehead when I'm trying to avoid a meltdown. For me, rubbing my back and neck are the key. The lighter the better. I've always had my back rubbed in exactly the same way.. with a finishing move as I like to call it. lol Tickle, scratch, rub. The backrub is no...

Psychiatrists deal with medication and aren't really meant to help beyond that. Psychologists do the helping and the therapy. Neurologists do autism evaluations the best. Finding professionals that specialize in autism is key. I was diagnosed by Psychiatrists in the past with Bipolar II with rapid c...
