Other than school, I didnt really hang out with other kids when i was little. Now that I'm older, I do have a couple friends (althought in different states due to college and jobs and whatnot), but really, I dont try to make friends, and usually just feel awkward when someone else tries to befriend ...

Krex has a point, but given the way you're reacting, I think it might be better to be up front with her. My favorites are the people who tell me they're going to "cure" me.
