I'm more of a half hour man myself, cause it gives me uninterrupted time to think about life and my day.

Yeah!!

I hook my PSP up to some external speakers, crank the volume up and put 'em by the door.It helps me keep track of how long I'm in the shower; plus, I likes to pretend I can sing :P , but only if I'm alone in the house.

Ugh... I know exactly how you feel about the taste. I'm generally desensitized to the taste of my dining utensils(with only a few exceptions), but restaurant forks bother me immensely, so I never eat out. I've found that higher quality(probably silver or silver plated?) flatware doesn't taste that b...

I used to "fake it" or get sick from stress. But I didn't go for mental health reasons in addition to other things, like me being bullied by the teachers and students. And I only would fake it because my Mom wasn't really supportive of me being absent for anything but physical illness (my school dis...

I generally agree with you and would like to add NIN's The Slip, because I really wanted to like that album, but couldn't for some reason. On a side note, A Perfect Circle's eMOTIVe is a cover cd, so the only thing by them is Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums (Passive was ori...

I noticed that this thread was getting some feedback, so I wanted to say thanks again to everyone who has given me support and advice. I really, really appreciate it.

As my previous post states, I'm gonna duke it out here for now.
But it's nice to know people care.

::hugs::

Thanks.

Thanks for the responses and the support guys. After hashing out the situation, I decided not to go for a couple of reasons: First, because of my age (17), I can leave on better terms(as much as I disagree with and hate the way I'm treated, I don't want to alienate my family) and under better condit...

As juvenile as it sounds, I'm actually leaving my family (sort of). I suppose a brief history would be helpful. My Dad and my two youngest brothers have low functioning AS, which my Mom is really bitter about. Their AS usually manifests problems in terms of things like home maintenance (dishes getti...

Well... My name is Eric and I'm 16. I was diagnosed AS back in '03 along with one of my younger brothers. Apparently autism as well as most other neurological abnormalities run back almost four generations in both sides of the Fam (my Dad is low functioning and my Mom is higher, two older siblings w...

I heard that too and I'm in the same boat but my schedule is a bit wackier. I do 28 hour days (19 or 20 awake then between 8 and 10 hours asleep). Strangely, I don't drink any caffeine (maybe that's my problem?). When I have to go to sleep, though, I just listen to some music or turn a fan on for so...

I've had an account here for about a month or two but haven't been as active as I'd meant to be.
I guess it's because I'm shy, or really bad at typing.
But all excuses aside, I'm going to make this my second shot at being a contributor and member.

So hey... again.

My personal favorite is FullMetal Alchemist (the manga) by Hiromu Arakawa. Ghost in the Shell is a great anime because it lets you think a lot. Death Note is also really great if you can keep up (missed a couple of episodes and I got confused sometimes). Also Zombie Powder and Bleach by Tite Kubo if...

My name is Eric, I'm 16, and have Asperger's Syndrome. History- My parents thought there was something off about me from the time I was 2 or 3 (I'm almost 17 now) but didn't know what it was because of the lack of info on higher functioning versions of autism, like AS. We moved around a few times wh...
