I know this a month old, but I haven't been here recently - I thought I could share some information. On the Toshiba laptops I've had experience with, the over-heating is from the heat-sink fins getting clogged with dust/hair/fur. On the Satellite A105 series (two family members have one - an S2236 ...

I've always thought when it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter to most people, and those that it does generally already use the metric system. The only other job fields where it would be really helpful is construction and possibly logistics, but with the abundance of electronics and automati...

I've been meaning to drop by here and add a link to a story I saw about two weeks ago on Military.com: Was Autistic Man Really a Marine? Court to Decide If you have a formal diagnosis it's a very bad idea not to tell the recruiter as you can get charged for fraudulent enlistment. Also, state law can...

Also note that those 24/25/30fps figures are interlaced . Film (35mm and 70mm) is not interlaced - however there is a shutter between the light source (typically a xenon arc lamp) and the film. The primary purpose of the shutter is to block-out the light momentarily while the film is pulled down on...

People entering the IT field will still be required to take CompTIA tests, No one has ever been required to take certifications - CompTIA or others. That doesn't mean that an employer can't have them as a requirement for a position though. and the certifications are good for three years. This is on...

Does the RIAA give the artists any money? Fixed. Unless you are an extremely popular artist and stay that way, most and usually more money actually comes from doing live performances, and that also requires promotion and has other costs involved. In fact the total production costs for live performa...

That's why motion pictures run at 30 frames per second. Movies/films run at 24fps - the only exception to this are films and projectors used in special venue situations, such as amusement park rides. TV on the other hand is different - their frame was originally tied to the AC power frequency due t...

he pay isn't that great and the cost of the commute is high. It is $10 per day to take the train (to work and back) and $4.50 per day to park. Some metro parking lots are $5.00 So it is basically around $200 a month just on commute I meant to mention something about this - one way to save is to get...

I've been having problems finding employment because of commute problems. Since I've moved to Frederick, Maryland with my parents, a commute for almost any of the positions I get contacted is always over an hour and fifteen minutes, and that's without traffic. I tried using public transportation, bu...

if so, how did you get into the army if they dont accept people with AS? It's a recent change - specifically the end of this past April this year. It was mentioned that it could be waived, however the DoD instruction doesn't appear to actually allow that from what I read. Section 28, subsection c -...

I haven't had this problem - at least not with the way the places I've gone to did the collection. However, one company I worked for their drug test only involved collecting a hair sample. I believe this type of test is actually more accurate as they get a longer history.

Gotta renew every single one of them this year, so lets see.... A+, Net+, Server 2008, MCSE. CompTIA certs don't require renewal, not yet anyway. Starting next year (if I remember correctly) those that take the tests are suppose to renew them every so many years. You also don't have to renew them a...

There was a ST:TNG episode where near the end of there was an alien recording being played back stating that they had spread life to other planets, and that humans, Klingons, Romulans/Vulcans, and Cardassians were all related.

It was the season 6 episode title "The Chase".
