Hopefully in a more intellectual manner th...

Doesn't that mean that the Beatles win? By being passive they let Michael Jackson and Beethoven kill each other?

What's Beethoven going to do with a piano, hide under it? The Beatles have guitars, ol' Ludwig doesn't stand a chance. They'll beat him to a pulp. And all Michael can do is annoy them all with high pitched squealing.

I'm going to resist the urge to mock your post by saying the same thing about... lunch, or something (it's just a social construct, it's not real!). Instead I'm going to re-state your post as simply as possible. So, basically, what you're saying is that people define and categorize phenomena perceiv...

Glossolalia. There's just so much tongue flapping to be done when pronouncing this word, which is ironic because it means speaking in tongues. I've never had a chance to actually use this word, though. Fling. Just because it's much more humorous to fling something out the window than to simply throw...

Absolutely yes. I'm hopelessly a space case. The thing I would most look forward to is the experience of seeing the earth from orbit, all 6-7 billion people down there, countless other species, everything we've ever known right before your eyes. Almost everyone who has had that experience says it's ...

By far, my most enjoyable class in high school was Computer Repair. Being a vo-tech class, it was three hours long, taking up nearly half the school day. Though the instructor was often overbearing and unreasonable, we were all as geeky as we could be (including the instructor) and most all of us we...

Hi everyone, this is bothering me a little bit, and since us autistic types pride ourselves in defining, identifying, categorizing, and explaining I thought this would be the best place to ask. What is the difference between an anxiety attack and a panic attack, if any? Thanks!!

Nonverbal communication, and difficulty with humor. It's like there's this whole sub-channel of information that I don't transmit or receive on by default, and if I do tune into the nonverbal channel, I'll miss the verbal content. It feels like such a chore to have a friendly conversation with an NT...

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I thought since the books were flawless (except near the last parts, where it turned into a somewhat mundane love story), the movie would be guaranteed to be at least acceptable. Boy, was I wrong. This movie is only for the most die-hard of Hitchhiker's Guide fa...

Brandon_M, it is interesting that you mention your life lately has been like an acid trip, because I once had the same type of feelings in the days after a trip of my own. It was a traumatizing bad trip, in which I felt the most agonizing emotion one could possibly feel, what I would imagine a dying...
