I am about to do my dissertation, comparing speech recognition technology and the use of a word processor for students with AS and dysgraphia. Any additional information about successful use of assistive technology in school to help with writing would be helpful to me!

Thanks :)

Hi! I am a school psychologist who helps young students with AS improve their writing. Anyone have any feelings about the use of an alphasmart, word processor, or speech recognition technology?

Over the past few years, I have noticed that many children on the spectrum have a really hard time with writing. Not so much with spelling, grammar or other "rule-based" domains...more with producing a quality piece of writing, writing about a non-preferred topic, and just getting "stuck." I know th...
