I feel I have missed out on half of my life. I accept this. Dwelling on the past is futile.

I will try to make the second half of my life better.

Don't waste time on trying to keep your dysfunctional parents in your life.

Save as much money as possible as making money has been (and always will) be difficult for you.

Don't care what others think.
I wish people would say Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule. Solstice, Pancha Ganapati, Mōdraniht or whatever festival your culture celebrates this time of year 'Holiday' sound so PC and boring. and Yes by all means include as many people as you can in your winter celebrations. Ha...

I too struggle a lot. I can't always express what I want to say, even in writing. I've never completed college. I can't keep jobs. Supposedly I'm one of those with a high IQ (as tested by the Raven Matrices). It means nothing, because my social and emotional IQ are low. Those are the most important ...
I was planning on giving my therapist a holiday card with a thank-you component for his help throughout this past year...is that alright?
I've seen businesses send out these formal holiday cards to their customers. Perhaps a card along those lines would work?...

So many things about people seem mysterious and confusing to me, this is really no different--but I find the business of people showing their dark side in public totally baffling. I mean all the stupid, offensive graffiti. Or the anonymous public comments on the internet. What is wrong with people?...

I'm still scratching my head on this one. Don't understand how not liking to be led makes one think he/she is better than others. Does not compute. We are all made of the same stuff - atoms, molecules, electricity. No one is better than anyone else. No one has the right to impose upon or order anot...

I have realized the stubborn attitude I (and I believe others on this board can relate) have that I deserve to be treated well and fairly goes hand in hand with a big responsibility. The fundamental thing is that many people with AS do not want to be hold on a leash, i.e. told what to do and not to...

We Don't Need Another Hero by Tina Turner resonates with me. I know it has nothing to do with autism, yet there are lyrics that are powerful and remind me of my own struggles ("We are the children, last generation, we are the ones they left behind...") and the struggles of all those who were left to...

I'm androgynous/3rd gender. Always have been now that I look back. I don't identify women or men. I can't fit in the binary if my life depended on it and I'm ok with that.
