Well, in my opinion politicians are usually crap at rational, scientific thinking, and they very often use disingenuous salesman's tricks and other brainwashing tools to get into power. So rather than supporting them in any positive way I just "support" one lot to keep the other lot out be...

I don't know whether I've got it or not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexithymia I seem to recognise myself in some features, e.g. According to Henry Krystal, individuals exhibiting alexithymia think in an operative way and may appear to be super-adjusted to reality. But not in others, e.g. ....in...

In all seriousness, it won't be long before the citizenship test just checks whether you're rich and white. Well, they're doubling the price to about $1500, then there's travel and hotel expenses, and the cost of getting all the documents together, so all in all it's already something of a rich man...

You really do get the physicals when your mind has to deal with that kind of thing, don't you? I sometimes get a bit of a headache, but acetaminophen usually fixes that.

I bet you lot don't have to know who wrote the Federalist Papers and the name of the territory the US bought from France in 1803. I'm worn out with it all. Alexander Hamilton and James Madison, and Louisiana, no? Pretty good, though you didn't mention John Jay and Publius (actually they only need y...

I passed the citizenship test. Actually I'm not over the moon with happiness because: 1. They're only saying they'll "recommend" me for naturalisation, and although that's all they ever say when you pass, and it seems to be in the bag, I refuse to do a happy dance till I've got the certifi...

May I ask if you live in a country where one of the beauty standards for ladies is youthfulness? If so, I'd assume they're just trying to make you feel better. I hate to say, but it doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't like when people call you young , especially since it's often seen as a com...

You don’t need free weights. Stretchy resistance bands work well in small spaces. I'll think about that. Or you can just relax and read a good book. Which sounds nice too. ;) Another type of exercise for the mind. I read aloud, so it exercises my jaws too - it seems my brain refuses to do anything ...

I carried some heavy bags for a while. Full grocery bags and full potting soil bags make great free weights. :) No garden at current abode, and the landlords are so damn strict that we'd be lucky to get away with a small potted plant outside without getting a reprimand. So not many free weigh...
