This is really difficult because almost everything has an upside. And can we even enjoy the good without experiencing the bad so that we notice the good when we get it?

^ In my book that's a health ailment, and McD's should be ashamed of themselves for selling them without also showing a life-size colour photo of the likely result. But maybe you're unique in your sensitivity to them. Hmmm......eggs shouldn't do that. What else is in them? My most recently-discovere...

Farrah, forgive me for I may have sinned: My wheelie bin went missing once, so I looked down the street and took a bin that may or may not have been mine, and painted my house number on it. I'm not sure if I should be sorry or not. There's nothing in scripture to advise me on that one, not that I'd ...

Kind of, but it's more when I have something important to do and I worry about it for days rather than just getting on with it. But although official letters often scare me, I open them immediately. I guess it's because opening a letter isn't complicated but some of the things that I put off are com...

Goat's milk is supposed to have a much better balance of nutrients than cow's milk, so (they say) it avoids all the health problems, but as you say, it's not cheap. You could maybe get a goat for £200 or so and feed it for nowt if there's anywhere you can put it to graze, but I've not really researc...

If you can stand soya milk, Tescos were doing that for 50p a litre when I was last in the UK. But there's an issue with the calcium content of soya milk. It's in there but it sinks to the bottom of the box, and moderate shaking isn't enough to put it right. I put cheap brewer's grade calcium chlorid...

Our local Poundland has just closed. Repossession notice on the front of the store today. Brutal. WH Smith in the indoor shopping centre shut down a few weeks ago, and I noticed today that Body Shop has gone. The UK is very much on the slide, it seems. Yup. It's all going online these days, except ...

You can always tell us you're a man of mystery then.

Actually I think it's hard to say anything without giving away something about yourself.

Why do people ask others questions they can look up? On another forum someone asked "What was the last Disney movie on VHS?". Golly gee wilikers, I wonder how anyone could possibly find out  Hello? Google has been around for over 25 years. Maybe they don't want Google tracking them....

Some autists see the illogic in accepted NT things, some have internalised it. I used to think that having a paid job is the only way to be a valud human (NT / capitalist view) then I realised that childrearing, healing, disabled, retired and learning people don't generally do this, so see it as a ...
