Dreams aren't reality, they aren't scientific in any way. I thought this was a serious thread...I guess it's just for general, rather than serious discussion.

Such joking or sarcasm for such a serious subject. Stockholm Syndrome is not false, it is not about love, but works upon the need to survive. The perp has total control over your life or death, as much as they can cause you pain or death, they can also save you from such. After all, it is they that ...

I think I can relate to you on this. I grew up on Sydney's North Shore, where speaking like a bogan wasn't tolerated, it was a sign you were uneducated and had no self respect. Now, I live in regional NSW, where most people only speak in complete slang and if you speak properly you are perceived as ...

Whilst researching my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome diagnosis I discovered quite a high incidence of autism within connective tissue disorder sufferers. I've done some googling, but can't find a statistic to back up my memory, so I won't quote it because it seems rather high. If I find it, I'll be sure to ...

Sorry to hear of how bad you are feeling tonin, wrestling with the NSW public health system is a nightmare in itself it seems. I've had a little experience on the mental health side, being regional seems the worst problem when it comes to receiving the help we need. Other than pressuring your GP or ...

Sorry to hear of your struggles Michhsta, sometimes I think psyches do more damage than good. From what I understand, BPD (and all 'cluster B' disorders) stem from a lack of self identity so that their mind is attuned to a polarized cycle of idealisation and devaluation (a constant judgement of good...

Thank you both so much for your replies. After a night filled with strange dreams on this subject I was relieved to see your answers this morning. To Ah_Q - "They’re my kryptonite." So, so true! I think it is the conflict between the Aspie's lack of empathy and the BPD's misuse of it that makes the ...

I used to be a horrible listener as my mind kept searching for context and was filled with more of my own thoughts than the other's words. This would lead to total miscomprehensions and silly things out of my mouth (along with rude interruptions because my impulse to speak seemed to take over my abi...

I understand that Aspies can develop BPD, yet, in the moderate to the severe end of the spectrum, I don't comprehend how this is possible as so many root issues seem to conflict completely. I've read through quite a few posts on this topic, so this isn't really the angle I'd like to hear about, but ...

Thanks Spokane Girl :) I also have a kind of eating disorder...but it's not anorexia or anything like that, I love food too much and have just been lucky with my weight so have never really thought about food that way. Just sometimes I can't eat *shrugs*. I'll fully admit to PTSD, anxiety and depres...

| Thank you PoopyLungStuffing, Willard (you crack me up) and LiendaBalla so much for understanding :) I'm feeling less churning this morning, especially after I read your replies. | I feel very much the same way and even when I find someone to talk to, they miscomprehend what I say so they never really hear me. I usually hang out here, reading through posts of hundreds of people who are going through the same thing. It doesn't change anything, but suddenly I don't feel so alone. |

Feeling a bit overly sensative, so I thought I'd post this here and try and find some acceptance from today's doctors exam. It was one of those full check up things where the nurse did most of the work and the doctor came in at the end to sign off on everything needed. I'd waited three months to see...
