If it was my child doing that I would WANT to be told how it was affecting others. Tell them that when he makes that particular noise you are worried that it is a cat in pain, they won't know unless you telll them. ! ! I agree, you can say it in a non rude way, just make them aware of it so maybe t... |

Here in the states you get no help. We are homeschooling our 9 year old this year due to pathetic public schools who harbor bullies and teachers who should not be allowed around children. (Sorry, it was a frustrating year) We are putting him in private next year, we can afford it thankfully and he n... |

i share your problem. I cannot fathom why they have the priorities that they do, gossip is lost on me, i would never go to the bathroom in a group, the list could go on. They are nonsensical. |

I get nightmares quite frequently, have since I was very young. Even my “normal” dreams are vivid enough that my mood for the morning is based off them quite frequently as well. On the other hand, my husband (also an aspie) says he rarely dreams, or remembers them at any rate at all. So I think mayb... |

I like my child very much, but I think that is partly because he is exactly like his dad and I. I can’t stand to be around other children and am a wreck after only a few minutes of having to listen to it. |

I have an IQ of 145, I know my sons is 143 and my husbands is 142. (all aspies) I am terrible at math, they are fantastic at it. (My son was doing algebra in his head at 5 years old… I still can’t do it on paper for the most part, my husband won all these math awards when we were in high school, I p... |

Yes, but I doubt they would realize what was different about me was being autistic. According to my family and husband I look like a rockabilly/punk Barbie doll, so not exactly “normal”. |

I get very angry quite often, I usually let go of it though because it ruins my day. I used to get into a lot of fights as a kid, I hadn't learned to let go of it yet at that age. |

This test was fairly offensive to me. There are no questions that can be answered as “does significantly above what a normal child would do” first of all, and secondly all the questions make having an autistic child sound like a prison sentence coupled with horrible depression. I suggest you add que... |

Actually I thought he was the most normal child I had ever met, and that other children were bizarre. (I’m an aspie, so is his dad) I got my DX as did his dad after he was born, however we still didn’t notice he was “odd” until my mom pointed out that he acted just like us. (I guess “odd” is a persp... |

I love how curious he is, his odd way of looking at things (for instance he confided in me that the reason Santa brings kids presents is because god asked him to for Jesus birthday… this is cuter because we are Jewish and do not take him to church, so he thought that up all on his own) and I love ho... |
