Its incredibly hard out there these days. I'm 39 and am back at home. Its embarrassing, especially when all my peers have families and homes of their own. I came close to buying a house a few years ago, just before Covid, but lost out because of a house inspection that came back REALLY bad and the ...

I used to be a CNA in the Oncology ward at a hospital for several years and I am definitely pro euthanasia. Have you ever seen a person suffering from bone cancer? Just pure unimaginable pain every waking moment of their life. I think a person in that situation should have the choice to end their li...

I don't hide my special interests, but I don't bother talking to people about them unless they ask (and god help them if they do). Buddhism I kinda keep secret mostly because people would probably laugh if they thought I was trying to be a Buddhist. Plus I live in Kentucky now and I'm not real sure ...

Not really. I'm a month away from 40 and still have them. Currently its computer programming (HTML/CSS/Javascript and a touch of Python) and Buddhism.

I think heavy metal has been a staple as a special interest of mine since I was 11 and I still am just as passionate about it now as I used to be.

Hands down one of the best all female metal bands of all time. Fernanda's vocals remind me SO much of Chuck Shuldiners vocals and I can't get enough.

We got some good taste on this thread Since people are including metal and I kept my list strictly rock, my top metal bands would be: Iron Maiden Black Sabbath Judas Priest Dio/Rainbow Rhapsody of Fire Symphony X Kamelot Mastodon Meshuggah Katatonia Porcupine Tree (if you consider them metal and no...

I mostly listen to his ambient stuff. Ambient Works Vol II is classic. I haven't listened to him in years to be honest. Went through a real heavy phase of binge listening to Aphex, Boards of Canada, and older Oneohtrix Point Never several years ago. Actually...I need to give Vol II a spin again. Bee...

Probably at a 2 or 3 right now. Just been really anxious over events out of my control for the last few weeks and now depressed because of how things used to be that never will be again. I'll get out of this funk eventually....just sucks right now. All I want to do is sleep it off lol

First off just want to say I was a member here YEARS ago and I guess I'm back out of... loneliness? I used to be pretty active here between maybe 2005/6 and 2009 or so. Any way, I reached a point in my life where I feel lost. I've distanced myself from people for several years now. I used to be able...

I haven't posted here in a really long time but I've been having issues with my parents lately and really have no where else to turn to. We've been having issues ever since my diagnosis 17 years ago. It seems that they acknowledge it only when things are going well. When they are not, they say that ...
